Turning Off Zombie Types?

I am wondering if its possible to turn off specific zombies (Ex. Businessman Zombie). I want to turn off the stripper Zombie as it is not YouTube friendly if you know what I mean. I want to record a video, or stream 7 Days to Die without worrying about encountering a Stripper Zombie. I don't want to take the time to censor the 18+ content then post it to YouTube and I don't want to stream while the Stripper Zombie could appear out of anywhere.

I think it would be cool to have a PG mode to 7 Days to Die so young teens could play it. If there was a toggle for blood, gore, stripper zombies etc. this would be great.

 
If this is for personal reasons I can respect that but people have been streaming and publishing videos complete with stripper zombies for quite awhile and no worry about YouTube and Twitch.

You would have to remove them via xml edits.

That makes me wonder about someone making it so strippers are the ONLY zombie type that spawns and then advertising their channel Vegas style....

I'll move this to the modding forum since what you're asking for is accomplished through modding the game (but also in hopes of heading off a long unnecessary debate about nudity, censorship and whatnot before it emerges).

I think Jax did something like that. I don't know if it's for vanilla though.

The stripper zombie is perfectly safe for youtube and twitch (because I've streamed it with no backlash), because tits aren't 18+.

However, you are looking for zombieStripper and zombieStripperFeral in entityclasses.xml and entitygroups.xml as a MINIMUM.

 
Probably easier than getting rid of them would be simply to change the mesh file of the stripper and the feral stripper. This line:

<property name="Mesh" value="Zombies/zombieStandardStripperRagdoll"/>

changed to:

<property name="Mesh" value="Zombies/zombieStandardCheerleaderRagdoll"/>

will make all the strippers into cheerleaders.

I think there's a joke in there somewhere about the cheerleaders turning into strippers, but I'll leave that one alone.

Given that there is a portion of the community that is sensitive to nudity, and possibly to gore, I think it'd be good to have nudity level and gore level menu options by the time the game goes final. I think the nudity is easy to address, but the gore might be a bigger issue since you'd be dealing with animations as well as meshes.

 
Can't blame him. It's a zombie survival game.

If you're sensitive to gore, you shouldn't be playing it. :)

Thanks, I will change it. Now my younger brother can play, he can do gore but not nudity (parents duh). I have never changed the file stuff before, where can I find the files to change them. is there I YouTube tutorial for this type of thing?

 
If you haven't ever modded files, helpful advice: Use Notepad++. Download it if you don't have it. It's free and super helpful, displays the xml tags in color coding to help you see if you overwrote a parenthesis or quote or something(colors will go all wrong if you miss one), and when you save it saves it without any extraneous data(fonts, etc) that would break the file and make it unusable. Other text editors are a crapshoot as to whether they will work right, or require knowing how to export them right, Notepad++ does all the work for you.

Then go into the folder where your exe is. If you are using steam you can find it by hitting 'browse local files' in the steam app. Find the exe, open Data/Config and you will find the xml files. Open entityclasses.xml with Notepad++, hit cntrl+f and search for 'stripper'. Find the line I wrote out above(it will appear twice, once for the stripper, once for the feral stripper) and change it like I showed above. You can change them into any other zombie in appearance, I just picked the cheerleader because they are really similar already.

Just said, I hate very much at 999...999% a16's stripper zombie! I prefer the old! I miss too a old nurse & woman in dress blue/red... That's was so stupid to remove them!
