So infected day one
Tried to get stumps for honey . Got maybe 2 out of 40….so late infection is now 50%

Have a forge but only 5 medical books no way to make anyibiotics

Was trying perma death so I think I’m screwed with maybe 6 hours left to find enough cures

Any advice??

Primarily, prepare for the next run..
Might be doable with a combo of stumps (if you can still run) and traders, but if that's your luck, I wouldn't count on it. I wish I could offer a good solution, but there isn't one; just make sure you have some sellables (plastics etc) if you happen to run into some at trader.

Spend some time hitting stores that have medical supplies. I've managed to survive that way by finding antibiotics there. Or just keep doing stumps and don't fight the flies. The odds of getting honey are not bad, but you had bad RNG. Chances are that you will have better luck going forward.

This^

Try stumps, be near trader and try to sell stuff for honey. Avoid Zs at any cost.

Been there (as you discribe it), it was worth it till day 140+, but it was a ■■■■ rabbit that scared me while in tough fight and jumped on a mine a block aside. (memorable moment, no doubt)

It is survival, we never know what it gonna happen, but we give our best ;)

I've had good luck landing antibiotics and herbals from the abandoned ambulances, but if you can take things like weapon and tool parts that you know that you're not going to be crafting to a trader, that's fast and easy money there, buy all the items needed for an infection that way.

Hit stumps on the way to trader, get your stamina up before breaking the stump with the last stroke.

You know in case you have to exit stage right in a hurry.

You really don't have to run if you have a melee weapon and are good at hitting things without being hit. You can one-shot the flies easily as long as you watch for them and can quickly swap from the axe to the weapon and are good at aiming quickly.

The first time I fought them, I though the axe would be able to one-shot them as well, which led to me being hit 4 times before I got sorted out and killed them. No infection... just the short slow debuff. After that, it's been very easy to kill them without being hit.

I had a similar situation but only got to 21%. I kept up the stump hunt. What I did not figure on is that Trader Rect stocks honey now. Usually there are 2-4 honey every Trader reset...

This is why I hit almost every stump I see all the time.

If possible go to trader Jen she has a high chance of having medical items. Not sure if she will have antibiotics so early on though.

Thank you. Ended up finally getting some better luck in honey from the stumps and trader and got a couple herbal antibiotics from air drop …so cured the infection after about 55 percent
Thanks for the tips

The first time those bees came out I didn’t even know what was happening until I had 27 concussions and 106 lacerations broken arms and legs and apparently a good infection. And I used to be scared of the demolishers ….noooo it’s the bees lol

This is a bit late coming to you, but after my first encounter with a Plague spitter
I realized i have been getting a lot more vitamins than any time before. So I took
1 it lasts about 12 minutes, Went after another spitter, and provoked it to spit twice
I only got mildly stung 1 honey and a sewing kit needed. Before that 2 honey sewing kit
and two red cross bandages. For the stumps it would be a crap shoot, but you can take one
vitamin, and run around for 12 mins busting them up, to build a basic supply of honey.
