True Survival

error!

After following the installation instructions step by step and after loading the game via the mod launcher, I still get this EAC Cheat error at the main menu, please help!! I just created an account just for this question and after trying to post over and over again , my comment doesn't seem to appear on thread itself, can you please help me??

Spider,

I may have botched my build with iron quest. I have completed it but still can't make rebar, nut n bolt etc.

Have asked others to try and finish quest to see if it was my mistake and I have lost the final recipe? If so could you please, please, pretty please, log to the server and hand it me??

I'm so sorry for being a fool. haha

Yours, regrettably

Mcbovril

Love this mod!

I'm on day 6, level 10. Holed up in a pumping station type POI on the edge of a small town. Been using that as a base and dodging into buildings trying to find a pot. So far, unsuccessful. I've got iron smelting in the basement forge (yay!) and I'm looking for some clay. I've been on pretty much a pure meat diet, so far unable to find a pot. I have a stick, and a skillet in my fireplace to cook food with. I've been eating omelets and kebobs hoping to cure my now "bad diet". With "bad diet" I'm losing stamina and more hunger than before and I may be forced to eat canned goods and make my diet even worse. How do I restore a balanced diet without a cooking pot?

Entering houses looking for pots has been very dangerous especially with alpha16's penchant for respawing zeds everytime you blink. I must've cleared out the 1st floor and attic of one small house 3 times without leaveing the premises. I'm still trying it, but I'm running out of meat at my faster hunger burn rate. any suggestions?

Great mod Spider! props to you for all your hard work. Much, much appreciated!

(I started with chef profession, so I can cook omelets)

Kebobs are great. But they may have been nerfed on a recent update. As chef you can make "healthy" meals. that will definitely fix your bad diet.

Cooking pots can be found in certain poi's and especially in ovens or kitchens. Keep looting survivor!

@Xamllew-

Thank you I appreciate the compliment.
I knew you'd say that. Honestly I'm a Cataclysm player, I believe in enjoyable losing, but there's a difference between a good challenging experience (what I was enjoying previously) and just making everything unenjoyable because of the threat of losing literally everything you've worked for in often literally unavoidable circumstances (night 3 GPSing burning zombies). There's a reason Rogue-likes and perma death games are usually short quickly finishable games; "lose 50 hours of skill-grinding and work" isn't an attractive feature. Just something to consider.

Either way I love this mod and will adapt to the harsh changes.

I agree, what I do is play at the lowest difficulty level and increase it one level every week till i get to the default one. This usualy gives me a chance to survive long enough to enjoy playing the mod (though i've been killed on day one on the lowest level before).

When I first jumped into this mod I also struggled but now I've got my bearings and I understand the nutrition system, what combination of foods are good and in general to be efficient and survive in true survival I think the difficulty is just fine. If anything I think the speed buff you get from healthy diet is a little too much. Not sure if it's because I'm a fitness instructor but I can fly across the landscape haha. I love perma death as well as it makes up really think about every decision.

For bloodmoon count, even if I host a server with many players, I still set it to "64"? Would it affect the performance?

So first off, I have to say what a challenging mod this is. My girlfriend and I are running a private dedicated server of this and are have a blast in the challenge increase this is over an xml mod like Valmod.

I have several questions though.

1. Alpha 16.2 is plagued with the death bug where one person has to relog on the server to see the other after death. Is 16.3 planned soon for support?

2. When we enter a building crouch all of the sleepers seem to be in a half awake state. They will be pinned to there spawn location but attempting to attack us. If there is a block near them they will break it. Is the sleeper system working as intended in 16.2?

3. More here when I think of them.

Didn't this mod use to have something implemented in the search menu, such that it didn't start searching until the ~3rd letter was typed?

Right now just typing in 1 letter stops the game almost a full second (yes, it's on a SSD).
