True Survival

What i got out of my conversations with spider is that doing a new version every alpha is getting a bit much. There will be another, final version of ts when game goes gold. Although when i spoke with him recently the additions in a17 seemed to pique his interest:spider:

Hi Rosa I’m glad you are enjoying the Mod. As far as Alpha 16 is concerned TS is not getting any more updates. I have been lurking around the forums keeping an eye on what’s coming for 17 and it looks promising but I’m a veteran around here and I know better than to get my hopes up or get too excited waiting for a release. So I’ll just wait and see what actually gets completed and included in A17. As for TS getting updated in A17. I’m going to want to play A17 7D2D and I can’t play vanilla anymore, so I’ll have to update TS if I want to enjoy a play through in A17. So yes TS will get updated but I don’t have near the same amount of free time I used to (picked up a second Job $$ :hungry: $$) so it might take me some time. The good news is if all goes as stated a ton of the stuff I had to mod in looks to be getting added to the vanilla game so updating A17 might not need as much work. I’m hoping that TS will be more of an over haul to all the stats/recipe/skills and less building modded systems from scratch like now. I’m really excited for the behind the scene infrastructure they are building to make modding easier and more powerful. So if you wanted to do something with TS 16.2 have at it. I still think we are months away from A17 if not more. Then it will take a few months to update TS so you might still have a year before TS A17.x. (It’s sad but true:sorrow:)

When trying to enter my server with mod installed it keeps saying treetallgrassdiagonal not found, and i cant load into server, my friend has to problem loading in.

 
hosting own server on other box, all things pass properly, installed according to directions on main page, double/triple checked that I didnt mess up, already made sure im 100% on alpha 16.2 But now i get this annoying error when I try to connect, (refuses to actually let me on server)

Is it possible to deactivate the "dead is dead" system?
Spider has posted the relevant line to change and in which xml file somewhere further back in this tread.

I like it in so can't direct you to the line myself. Just browse back through the posts till you find it.

 
Zombie Stage

Will there ever be an option, then, to die and play as a zombie?

I've love to see an additional 7 days as a zombie where, if you dont feed on fresh humans every 7 days, you die permanently. and in between you can loot corpses and eat any bones, meat, or flesh you find to maintain your wellness and stamina. and when you feed on fresh flesh long enough, you get a bonus feral stage.

Hello, can anyone help me with this mod? I'm having issues that I have no clue how to fix.

I tried installing these mod the normal way which didn't work. And then I tried to install it using the 7D2D mod selector. Each time I got a "missingmethodexception" red error spamming the top of the screen. And each time my game also would not get passed the "creating a character" part when you create a game.

Can anyone help me get this mod working? I really want to play this but have no clue how to fix this issue which is a complete bummer.

Shouldnt be too hard to implement. Just make zombies friendly and populate with a lot of npcs using bandit template to make them all hostile. Then add lootable brains and such. Maybe make some pois populated with survivors and voila...

 
Thank you for the mod. it works beautifully on my single player game.

However, My hosting provider wont let me install it manually. in fact, i cannot actually edit my files. which is driving me crazy. That aside, they have this listed on their mods list and I did revert the install to 16.2. the server is brand new, never been played on. But I'm getting the error below. their solution is to update the server files to 16.4 and install allocs. which of course breaks the mod. I cant get the tech to understand the concept that this mod HAS to be run in 16.2 to save my life.

After they "fix" the issue where the server fails to boot, I wipe the server, install 16.2 and then install this mod, and finally st up the config file. all which are forms and buttons, no actual access to the files other than a visual look. I saw this same exact error on the Starvation mod thread and he said its because it needs a manual installation.

Any ideas of how to fix this or explain to these noobs how to fix this?

You might need to find another server provider. A lot of them do not allow you to edit .dll files. Before you get a server make sure to ask if you have COMPLETE file editing capability's. What is more than likely happening is the Tech is installing the mod like a xml mod and not installing all the SDX stuff. Bottom line if the provider does not let you do it your self then you need another provider. Hope this helps.

Sad thing is, I had this server company last year and they DID allow me full editing rights. now they are refusing. the SDX stuff is there, but the managed folder is empty. so the entire assembly csharp files are non-existant. and I do not have the rights to upload them. when i explain this to them. they tell me the issue is that I'm running 16.2 and that they have fixed the problem by reinstalling 16.4. ::facepalm::

I have asked for my money back, being that its not just been a week of fighting them on setting this up, they are also being condescending in their responses.

Bite the bullet and go with BlueFang. Servers tend to all be rolling contracts now so you just pay for each month til you no longer want the service. I tried four providers before finding and sticking with these guys.

I recommend BlueFang because you have complete control of all files, and they have a roll back updater for you to easily chose 16.2 before installing this mod.

Not only can you manage the server online, you can also use Filezilla 3rd party software for quicker transfer.

None of the files clash so I don't see an install order mattering. Personally I don't use Allocs, so maybe someone better informed could offer a more definitive answer.

 
I'm stuck in an endless cycle of dying. I logged off with 49 health point,s logged back in and i just die and respawn without end. So how do i reset my character?
