Traps Need More Love

I have not played the newest update yet, so please excuse me if I am missing something.
The game has improved a lot over the years, which is great. However, I think traps have been a bit neglected. I would really like to see a lot more options. The current ones feel kind of boring to me.
 
Barbed wire fences, trip wires with grenades/cocktails linked to them, flamethrower traps, there is a lot that could be done to make traps good.
 
How about a high-voltage trap? It discharges when zombies pass between two points. It consumes more energy and recharges more slowly. The maximum distance between the two points is 5 blocks. It breaks down much more slowly than electric wire.
 
Or a shredder for scrap iron. Placed in the floor. Cripples zombie legs. Deals high damage, but it is divided between the zombies standing on it. Armored units can jam it briefly.
