I can't remember if this started with V1.0 or V2.0 but the trader's voice volume stays consistent regardless of how much distance the player is from them. It's like they're speaking to you telepathically.
In A21, if they were speaking to you and you started to walk away, their voice would drop in level naturally the further you got from them.
