PC Trader quests in multiplayer

I read that all allied players can start the same quest? We cannot get this to work. When one of us takes a quest the others are not getting it, and cannot then get it from the Trader (his quest list is different for them). Am I missing something?

from my experience with a friend of mine, we would go to the trader each get our own quest. then you can share the quest with each other. but this only lets the other play see the quest on the map they dont actually get xp or anything from completeing it. infact looting the item from his quest location made my quest fail because i was not at my quest location.

im not sure if this is intended but thats how it worked for us.

 
My team and I have gone through and played several Trader Quests. We are able to share the completion quickly on the "Clear the Zombies", Fetch quests work as well; though, we had some trouble with zeroing in on the satchels at first. We each take a mission and share it then complete them one at a time.
