It would be nice if they would be able to do their updates without breaking saves. Its so annoying to restart a new game on console.
There's not much they can do to prevent saves from breaking until the game is out of development. It would be nice if they would be able to do their updates without breaking saves. Its so annoying to restart a new game on console.
I know the guys are doing everything they can to not break saves moving forward. It would be nice if they would be able to do their updates without breaking saves. Its so annoying to restart a new game on console.
Like one person said - they were doing ■■■■ 1 year now they will fix ■■■■ 1 yearI went ahead and watched the VOD so I could grab more information and be a little more detailed.

- Badges are getting removed, replaced with survival kits with themes of personal protective equipment that you can craft and put somewhere on your character although it won't be something that you can actually see on the player. When you die, you will lose it along with your biome immunity. In order to get it back the player will have to have a spare kit or craft another item akin to the smoothies (which are getting removed and replaced with something else). Biome completion icons will remain. They will not protect you from Storms. Some ideas they have are (bear in mind the names and designs can change): a Smoke Survival Kit for the Burnt Forest in the form of a firefighter respirator, a Heat Survival Kit for the Desert in the form of a hat, sunglasses and bandana, a Winter Survival Kit for the Snow in the form of a balaclava (face mask) and goggles, and finally a Radiation Survival Kit for the Wasteland in the form of a radiation mask with filters.
- Smoothies are getting replaced with different items that will negate Storm damage by 50%. The Burnt Smoothie → Black Lung Serum. Oasis Smoothie → Sunstroke Tonic. Frostbite Smoothie → Scorcher Stew. Atomic Smoothie → Fallout Flush.
- Each biome Storm will have two stages to them. First stage involves a unique biome debuff. Second stage involves player damage. Debuffs will increase over time if you stay out in the storm but will recover over time when you are sheltered.
- Storm damage is getting educed but will be properly scaled based on biome difficulty. Loot bag drop rates will also be increased when fighting zombies in the storms to encourage players to engage outside. Mild storms might be a thing where they will only have the stage 1 debuffs.
- Considering adding back ways to combat weather such as campfires/torches slowing down the cold debuff and water/rain accelerating the cold debuff while slowing down the heat debuff.
- New UI design for game settings (possibly more).
- New Plague Spitter design to fit the game better:
- Going to turn on Flat Spot coding which ensures that dig missions and airdrops are in areas that are flat/open and not in unreachable places. This would allow more opportunities for more quest types and dynamic events.
- Rare Legendary drops (weapons, armor, and tools) with unique names, attributes, and skins. These drops will not be craftable, only found via looting.
- Considering adding more options such as the ability to turn off quests and trader selling. As well as being able to adjust the abundance of food, water, weapon, ammo, medicine, etc.
- Considering adding more advanced difficulty settings such as damage given/received. The devs are willing to hear from the community for more sandbox options they would like to see added to the game.
- Bandits will have the ability to communicate with the player, throw items like explosives, and self-heal.
- Fishing is being considered.
No matter what they do people are going to moan and complain. This is a step in the right direction.Like one person said - they were doing ■■■■ 1 year now they will fix ■■■■ 1 year![]()
I don't know about the other guy, but for me...the last 6 months delay was entirely their fault...they sold the game with a roadmap...they obviously don't care that people expected them to follow the roadmap. No matter what they do people are going to moan and complain. This is a step in the right direction.
Heavy agree on more consistent communication. It's unfortunate about the bandits getting delayed, but hey, we will get them eventually.I don't know about the other guy, but for me...the last 6 months delay was entirely their fault...they sold the game with a roadmap...they obviously don't care that people expected them to follow the roadmap.
There's bound to be some people still upset by THAT.
I have my brain turned off about Bandits now....I don't expect to see them until Q4 2026. Just thinking about it now, I may need to adjust it even farther out: Is 4-5 months to fix 2.0 reasonable? because THAT would be November/December before they get rolling on 3.0. Which leaves a year for 3.0. Is that enough?
I just want more consistent communication...why am I reading tea leaves?
I waited to answer, my knee jerk reaction was "people been saying THAT since 2018", but, I don't want to be more negative.Heavy agree on more consistent communication. It's unfortunate about the bandits getting delayed, but hey, we will get them eventually.
Considering how heavilly game degraded in most aspects since A16 because of shizo TFP politics - of course players will not be satisfied! Or u expected all players endlesly eating all TFP cringe deliverings last 3-5 years without asking questions about strange TFP actions? Its a step in right direction after players bombed steam reviews and big youtubers took community side on youtube recently! No matter what they do people are going to moan and complain. This is a step in the right direction.
A super moderator's job isn't really to provide information. I'll admit that Roland did post a lot of stuff when he was super moderator, but that wasn't a requirement of the position. They have a super moderator, don't know why they have had nothing to say.
The Frost Claw is the one getting a model rework to look more like a lumberjack type zombie or mountaineer. The lumberjack we have now will stay as is.For those who missed the Town Hall stream, I compiled a list of what was discussed. Please let me know if I missed anything ^_^
- Lumberjacks are getting a model rework too.
Thank you for the correction. I will keep that noted. The Frost Claw is the one getting a model rework to look more like a lumberjack type zombie or mountaineer. The lumberjack we have now will stay as is.
They had never done a town hall...if you agree with me agree with me. more voices make more noise. Just taking what they are giving is not working for them or us.A super moderator's job isn't really to provide information. I'll admit that Roland did post a lot of stuff when he was super moderator, but that wasn't a requirement of the position.
Anyhow, more communication would be nice. No one disagrees about that. But the reality is that the chances of anything more than what we already have is almost non-existent. If they haven't improved on that in over a decade, they aren't likely to start now. People have asked for more communication for a very long time, so it's not like this is a new topic.
yeah...shove that up your butt sideways and give it a twist. Then people cannot read (Read the Highlighted part on the bottom very carefully)

rewatched the "townhall"...that was a knee jerk reaction, can't help but feel like they should have taken a few more days to get ready, get real questions, admit actual fault.
No. You are starting to feel too important again. Sad.NOW ADMIT THAT
on rare occasion I have read a thoughtful, reasoned response, that you have made. So I know you are capable of it...but choose not to.No. You are starting to feel too important again. Sad.
Any delay is "caused" by them other than something like a natural disaster or major power outage to the area they work or something outside of their control. Even delays due to bugs are caused by them. As far as dates being subject to change, if you don't accept that, then that's your choice. It says the dates are rough estimates. That already tells me that they can vary a lot. 6 months isn't a big deal, imo. But feel free to continue being upset about it. It won't change that they are running behind.on rare occasion I have read a thoughtful, reasoned response, that you have made. So I know you are capable of it...but choose not to.
I do not accept that "all dates subject to change is a 'magic' phrase".
The last delay WAS caused by TFP
