PC Tier 6 and its usage of Legendary Parts

I am curious what the general consensus is on about how tier 6 for every item requires legendary parts to craft and if some of them should be changed or remove parts from the crafting.

Personally, I feel as though it stops me from wanting to upgrade to tier 6 with some of the basic items and makes it feel less exciting to be at tier 6 to somewhat be locked out from crafting some of the base items from actually advancing the game rather than encouraging advancement.

I understand it completely for the higher tiers of the items like as you progress from like wooden, stone, and bone tools and it's not as frustrating at that point but like to burn a part on a stone ax or a bone knife I just end up never crafting the tier 6 and never craft that item again for myself or friends.

As a result Id like to see some of the tier 6s remove the need for legendary parts and maybe could compensate by increasing some of its materials like more stone for a stone ax but at least that feels more obtainable than finding legendary parts or using the part when you want to save it for something else.

Partial list of items Id like to see changed to not require legendary parts at tier 6 includes Stone ax, Stone Shovel, Bone Knife, Primitive bow, Primitive armor, wooden club.  Basically, the stuff you create during the tutorial or very soon afterwards that are the lowest tier tool and weapon items.

If anything, I would go the opposite direction.  Have number of legendary parts increase at each tier, so 1 part for stone axe, 2 for fire axe, 3 for battle axe.  Of course, that reduces the chances you will want to craft lower tier, so most people wouldn't like that.  But legendary parts are not difficult to find if you are looting regularly and not skipping clothing and shoes on the floor or in closets, where I've seen a lot of them.

Right now, I end up with a bunch just sitting there even after crafting all Q6 armor and my weapons.  Granted, I don't craft Q6 on lower tier stuff because I just don't bother crafting lower tier stuff to begin with because I find stuff quickly enough.

But I will probably craft Q6 stone axe just because I use that all game for breaking open boxes or doors.  I hate the battle axe and don't consider it an upgrade, and the fire axe is okay but too slow.  Unless you are chopping down a tree, it really isn't faster than the stone axe due to speed differences even though it has more damage.

Lol I crafted a t6 stone axe ASAP. I'm playing axe as main weapon on insane difficulty

It was better than the low tier iron axe due to it's faster attack rate

..until I got a t6 iron axe lol. Had to use that for a while because steel axe used too much stamina

Cleared a t5 building quest with a t6 steel axe. What a rush. Entered on day 22, didn't finish until 24

I like this new system with legendary parts because it lets you make a legendary item you want. My armor is all tier 6. I have a tier 6 SMG. I just gained the ability to make my tier 6 compound crossbow so I'm going to do that next and I'm going to make my tier 6 desert eagle when I can. Then I'll be out of legendary parts unless I manage to loot some more.

If I do, I may as well make a tier 6 stone axe.
