"feels like 15 Celcius"

As the image shows I'm standing next to 3 heat sources: an active campfire ,a forge and a torch on my 6 . Yet I am freezing to death.

There was another thread saying campfires do not provide enough heat, but I had to re-test it myself . Not only it's true forges (the things that melt steel) do not provide enough if any heat as well.

The game always felt kind of unforgiving on this biome, but this is just stupid. Fix fires providing heat source and add craftable insulating items so we won't freeze to death in the first days. Thanks.

As far as I'm concerned, they removed the "warm by the fire" buff from the game. None of these things provide protection against heat any longer.

I agree it's a pity as well. It was a cool mechanic.

I still overheat when I stand next to an active forge in my current A17.2 playthrough, so I think forges should still work. Question is how much though. Campfires seem to be broken for sure, there's another thread on it on the first page.

The campfire definitely does provide heat, but not much and not a very long range it seems. I have to stand pretty much on top of it on a cold night.
