PC This game is Frustratingly amazing

To the console devs and other console players alike,

Just wanted to share my thoughts and get your opinions as well.

1.) the core of this game is absolutely amazing and brutally unforgiving, and super fun to play with friends and we can all agree if the MD5s were fixed, and the content was updated at the rate the PC version was we all would be content (At least I would be lol)

2.) it is my hope that the console team, can set forth a road-map of what console players can expect, as far as patches, new content etc. I haven't been a member of these forums long, so apologies, if i missed these items posted elsewhere.

3.) The console community manager seems to be very active and it is refreshing to see. Not all games have as active rep with the community.

4.) It is not easy to help provide details to the team on MD5 crashes, esp on the xb1 (my console), this may be opening up a can of worms, or posted elsewhere, but Console Community Manager can you discuss with the team on what details would be helpful, what is not useful information

5.) Basically I love the game, and dislike the issues of losing my entire base 3x and all resources in the chests (at one point was complaining of only getting med kits in drops lol; little did i know)

6.) I want to help, and to be part of this game long term but am limited in my role!

Welcome to the forums, I'm fairly new here myself. The way I understand it the fun pimps still control the Pc version and are still working on new stuff. The stuff for console is given to the companies that work on development for the platforms and then it is released when ready. As far as MD5 I hope with the update coming this year it gets fixed for you xb1 guys/gals.

Welcome, fellow survivor. If you let it, this game will eat you alive... and that's not a bad thing. :smile-new:
I'm not going anywhere unless my base vanishes again. That would be a spirit breaker lol just survived day 77 in game, love it! Being on console, what are my best options for traps, the "White Walkers, and cops are jerks, and break all the nice things"

Thanks for the welcome! I hope so, i just hope that in the future the only thing that destroys my base are the zombies!

Also a perk to make a bigger backpack would be nice, considering i'm carrying my two teammates lol

Welcome to the forum!

They are working to fix the MD5's and there is a link with details about it - including a link to a workaround for Xbox users (PS4 players can back up their games to a USB stick but Xbox don't have this facility). If you're on xbox, this workaround may help protect you from any MD5 errors - you can find it here: https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?50175-Known-Issue-Terrain-Rewriting-(MD5-Issue)

As for updates - keep an eye on the 'News and 'Announcements' section. As soon as Claire has any information about an update, be it new content, bug fixes or both, she will post the information there. The last one told of a big update coming later this year but we don't have any information about what it will contain as yet.

As for reporting MD5 errors (plus any other bugs you encounter), there is a format that is asked for, which guides the player to provide the necessary information so that Claire and the devs can investigate. You can find this here: https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?47268-IMPORTANT-Please-read-BEFORE-posting. It's simple to do and doesn't take too long and will really help with fixing the bugs.

Thanks for the help! I unfortunately am on the xb1 so, im going straight to the error reporting post suggested above, thanks again! BTW, tried creative mode, and not sure what ppl want me to do when i'm in there? lol I'm just experimenting with base design.

That's basically what creative mode is for. It's kind of like a dev tool for building and testing.

Too bad you didn't get a chance to play before they ruined the game. Been many good things added but Dynamic Hordes and the New mining a big fail.

I agree! the game is amazing to play! if i could i would spend all day everyday playing! the crashes are killing the game though. They arent just restricted to console either. PC gets their fair share of game crashes and resets, i watch of few youtubers that have had crashes that completely reset all stats but nothing happened to bases and inventory the way it does on the console. I know our opinion doesnt really matter, but they need to spend more time on fixing crash issues since it happens on ALL systems. And stop spending so much time adding fancy things that arent needed for a survival game
