PC This forum needs a meta board. And some serious moderating reconsiderations.

Yeah I thought about making a post like that just to mess with everyone but the mods might be looking for blood after this thread. =D

Personally, I'm not opposed to different views and constructive criticism.
Unfortunately, the OP ruined his / her point completely by ending it with "you're welcome".

Up until that point it was a reasonably good post perhaps with some minor inaccuracies etc but good. After that statement I'm just put off.

"you get more bees with beer than you do with vinegar"
You're entirely right, that was a bad way to conclude my post. It was very late.

I can understand why some people reacted like it was a personal attack on the volunteer moderators, which was really not my intention.

No, because then your "important discussion that just has to be seen so you posted in General Discussion instead of the correct sub-section" wouldn't be seen because it would scroll off of the first page in a couple of hours.
I don't have any posts like these.

And by your own suggestions people are too dim to go look in the correct sections that are clearly stated in the main hub. What makes you think they're going to take extra effort to go looking at page 3 or 5 of General Discussion.
Do you really want people like that commenting on your post anyway. If they are so dim, what good can they possibly say?

Permanent banning really doesn’t happen that often. Much less often than people claim in their Steam reviews ;)
I've tried to ban Roland. Didn't get very far. Woke up with a beheaded rock in my bed. Gave up after that.

Ban evasions are against the rules here... you probably should have kept that to yourself. Also, I really doubt you were permanently banned over something minor as that NEVER happens. There's a procedure to follow (warning if minor, infraction if serious, variety of temp ban options if repeated infractions, perm ban if all else fails)

Making comments like that in public can get you into further trouble, and it wouldn't be bullying either, just follow the rules and you're safe. If you have a problem with an individual, report them. Each moderator is their own person with their own opinions, they will look into it and decide whether or not bullying is occurring and take appropriate actions.
This was YEARS ago, way more than 2 years, it was almost 5 years ago, I was never warned about anything, just kept getting an error that said I wasnt allowed to post, but I could still read threads and I couldnt make a new account at the time to ask what waw going on, so perhaps wasnt banned but it felt like it.

Even if I was banned then it was purely injustified and Bias.

...sounds like you just didn't have your steam account linked, not that you were banned. <shrug>

Linking your steam account was a thing back then.

I'd agree with this. I looked and didn't find any infractions/bans.

It was weird, I could post prior then suddenly I couldn't So I assumed someone was ban hammer happy.

I was also unable to create a new one. I didnt really associate with the forums that much then as the Mp and PvP were relatively fun and balanced at the time.

I had a small conversation about this with the frequent movements of all the video threads that were seemingly exploding in general, yet all were moved to Images/Videos forums that nobody ever looks at, I actually was very pissed those threads got moved.
Yeah I'm a bit disappointed that Videos get tossed to the bottom of the pile.

Some of those videos takes dozens of hours to create and they get no views while some off-the-cuff remark in General gets seen by all.

I dunno.... people who put the time and effort to make cool videos should get a little more attention.

Those videos can often create advertising for the game.

They get shared and passed around social media.

I just makes sense they should be highlighted a little more.

Anyone who deals in advertising will tell you location matters.
This is why they have sites that are specifically geared for video, and others that are not. This one is not. ;)

It has gotten to the point where I don't want to put a question mark in a thread title, or sit here thinking about how to phrase a thread title so the subsequent discussion isn't just assumed to be a question and moved. So, yeah, I tend to agree with the OP.

Let the mods do what they want. They were cool back in experimental when they said everything was fine and nothing mattered because everything would be ironed out in the public release. And even though everyone warned them that this build would not go over well with the public they took the bet and held strong, and then it was released and it got a 50% on the steam store, but it doesn't matter because the mods still know what's best for everyone. They have foresight. They're not living in a bubble or anything. They're not YES MEN. They understand this game and community more than you can possibly imagine.
