The new Biome immunity items - a question

As mentioned in the Town Hall stream that was during 7/25, it was mentioned that the new biome survival items would drop if you die, as our other items would normally, however, I have a question, or rather a request for clarification.

If you have it set not to drop your items on death, will you still retain the item? Or will it still drop?

I don't think anyone has the answer to that just yet unless some moderator or other can ask the devs. Otherwise, will have to wait for the update to drop to know for sure.

I assume you will keep it. They talked about it like you would have to either find a way to reach your dropped bag to get it back or use a backup. If you aren't dropping or deleting items on death, I think you will keep it. But they didn't say either way.
