the most REAL REVIEW of 7 Days to Die

You can argue with me but its just facts. Shove a red button in your face "Click here to obtain everything" and you'll find cheating is the only way now with 7 Days.
Huh, I must be blind. Only red button I've seen is the DLC one...

As stated too many times to count since this post, this isn't a game problem, it's a you problem. Tons of games have a creative menu, console commands, etc. It only ruins the game for those dumb enough to use it. What's even dumber is when someone uses it and then cries about it on a public forum after.

Mmhmm. It's almost pitiful - reminds me of typical fatherless behaviour. He better not act this way in the real world, or he won't be getting very far at all - so for his sake, he better get some help.

This world is going towards a sad, sad direction.
The fathers these days don't dispense beatings anyway. They're too busy trying to be "friends" with their kids instead of fathers.
Wait til your father gets home doesn't mean the same thing it used to.
Said every generation about the one before it.
You mean the one after it, but yeah, I think even Socrates wrote about the lazy students of his age and how useless they were.

Every new release I play 100% default vanilla settings to ensure I experience the game the devs intended to deliver before I make my assessment. I encourage everyone to do the same before we form opinions.
Don't call me to do that. ))))

Each of us plays in our own way. Usually, when the experimental version comes out, I play with the creative menu turned on. Because at that time I want to see the innovations without having to spend a lot of time. When the stable version comes out, I start a normal game with the creative menu turned off.

It's no wonder the world is going soft, you know. As they say, use the rod (or the hot iron), beat the child.

Bare minimum, we need to bring back shaming. It teaches people (including these grown "adults") not to act like unruly children.

I started 7 days with my brother. The first day was surreal and very fun looting. The second day we wanted those rare spears and guns and excited we were to obtain machine guns 1-3 rare. We agreed this game will take months if not years to get to max level and obtain rare resources in abundance. This was going to be a fun year. On day 4 of playing the game I,Me not my bro realized there is a built in gameshark in the game. Why wait for the loot or the grind when you can give yourself x amount of XP or any item your want. This forbidden discovery I gave in to tempt myself with just a try of a couple items. Half a day later I have everything. Abundant resources and legendary weapons and armor. I did not tell my bro and was smart not to give myself xp for he was still in the bubble you must grind for it all it the only way. I envy that he feels like he is forced to survive in 7 days but that is not true. The developers have given us the tools they use in standard original game. I told my bro I grinded and learned perks to obtain items I gifted him rapidly...... skipping our game stages. 1 week into the game he has every mag read and I do too secretly. I feel as if I was an older bro helping him. By 3 weeks I am bored of this game. Its the same POI nothing to look forward too(I have everything in great abundance far more than bro). My bro is now playing other games way more than this game cuz we have been through it all. What was suppose to be a year of this game was shortened to less than a month. This was last year. I have not been stoked for 2.0 its just nice little features but is the same everything. The gameshark built into the game is a deadly weapon that can kill the game fast. Like a overstimulation that lasts for very short time then it must crash. This is the same with Ark and it was the same thing. Console was the only excuse for forced survival and enjoyment but its the same as PC. You can argue with me but its just facts. Shove a red button in your face "Click here to obtain everything" and you'll find cheating is the only way now with 7 Days. How can you fool yourself to play the game without cheating? Why do cheaters cheat? They burn through games cuz it gets boring too quick....if you have everything given to you.
So basically let me summarise this a little: I don't understand what it means to play survival game so I chose to give everything to myself in a non survival way as I clearly don't understand the objective of the gameplay loop and or don't enjoy this game.

If you are questioning why is there a big red button to cheat its like asking in any bethesda game oh why should I go through the effort of killing an npc when I can force kill using the console? You clearly fail to understand this and thus your review is completely pointless.

Point in case.

Men asking for survival elements or grind to be taken out of survival games would be like him asking for scary moments to be taken out of horror movies. They're synonymous with one another; the former argument never ceases to amaze me.

Not every game is meant to be for everyone. If you don't like a game for x, y, or z, that's fine, move on, refund if you can.

He has no order, no discipline, no self-control, morals, or self-respect. I wonder why that is, hmm...
The answer is the word you most used there. "No", a powerful thing that hasn't been applied enough. By society or the parent. As you describe, it's basically been made illegal.
To make matters worse, most communication happens across screens. Someone's giving me this level of BS face-to-face, I'd be saying "no"; physically if need be. Here, well, as that's off the table, everything else is On.

I give you a F for the correlation. If there was killable NPC's in 7 days I'd kill one maybe or at the end them all. You cant giveself command you anything in skyrim Original or I'd have all the best armor. I grinded for that spent a year of having fun in that game. 7 Days and Ark I pressed the BIG RED BUTTON(Command Console). :/ srry

I didn't bother to read that wall of text. If you genuinely want people to read what you post, and learn to use paragraphs. And strive to be brief to the point.

Next time, don't go to all that trouble, just turn on creative mode and give you all of whatever it is you want soon as you spawn.

Hypothesize and assumption maker? What's that have to do with the in game facts? I'm only for the game right now and Ya'll crucify me with the venom of social media standards of 2026. Are you apart of that miserable existence? One guy tells you I'm this and you follow with a depraved opinion of me based on others? Can you not come up with your own? Do you need to have others empower your degeneration. Is what I said too much? A boss is hard to kill. So if I am hard to please this is a miserable thing. Oh I pity you says the brood of snakes. The day this statement arised reveals the colors of misery you all are in and you execute your will unto me. So you that headache with me would ravage each other if there was an end instead of grouping up with good acumen it would be a real life horde night among my fellow humans.

You have that in Skyrim though.

years later

No, they were always part of the PC version. Just because you didn't know about them doesn't mean they didn't exist.

This is just a case of you discovering console commands and using them to cheat instead of using them for their actual function.

I have never felt the need to use the console commands to cheat, especially not to then lie to my brother about it and boasting about my skill/luck.

Tons of games have a creative menu, console commands, etc. It only ruins the game for those dumb enough to use it.
I generally agree, my only caveat would be that it ruins the game for those who use it knowing it will ruin the game for them. While I do generally have the creative menu available when playing 7D2D (habit from years of playing other modded games to fix bugs/things that break) I've probably only pulled a handful of things out of it over several thousand hours, and largely because something didn't work right (I pulled a bunch of explosives out once, back in A16, when I'd spent several real life days trying to collapse a large mass of ground, and once I'd cleared everything around and under it, I ended up with a massive floating block of stone.)

That said, there are other games that I play with cheats enabled that I usually liberally, because they make the game more fun for me.

That said, to the OP: Drugs are bad, mmkay?

The "cheats" are a bad drug. Off topic where the hell is more building blacks there should be way more. Also lights with blue light spectrum only? Where is the amber natural bulbs that put of light like the torches. Also could get some RGB lights.....do the devs even consider the myriad of amazing ideas to make this game much better.....

Maybe someday. But if it takes years before you get them won't it make it better...?

There are/were (no idea if they've been updated) mods that let you control the color/intensity of the lights

Honestly this thread only blew out of proportion because of how ridiculous the reason of it even existing in the first place, "the most real review of 7 days to die" and proceeds to go on a complete tangent as to why they went into the creative menu instead of progressing through the game,

Furthermore that is NOT a review, that is called not being bothered to play through the game and offer anything constructive,

Let me put this into perspective real quick and show how ridiculous this sounds: hey guys I bought 7 days to die a few weeks ago to play with a buddy we were playing a few days and we were progressing through the game, my friend got off and because I didn't like how slow things so I decided to open the cheat menu and give myself everything because I couldn't be bothered and played it off like I grinded for days.

Now the final statement, this is not a review it is nothing more than the posters intolerance of the games loop clearly it's a poorly structured review and a tangent in one, if this was an actual constructive 'REAL' review it would read as follows:

I bought the game with my friend a few weeks ago, we played through the first few days and we anticipated how the game will progress acquiring higher level tech weapons that got us excited, we agreed this could take months or years (which is false), we got to day 4 and realised that the game has a problem (no it doesn't) why not just grab items from the creative menu instead of farming then (end of review as the rest Is a large tangent) the majority of the review is just nonsense about complaining about a non issue, I would've said the game seems too slow and I believe that it isn't going at an enjoyable pace for me so this game isn't for me as of this writing.

There an actual review done, was that so difficult?
