So it's been a while since I've looked at the old road map or heard any updates.. just wanted to ask if anyone with the knowledge can confirm that the event system is still expected to be part of the 4.0 update.

I haven't seen them talking about it in a long time either. I'd assume it'll still happen, but maybe not until after bandits.

From my understanding, Bandits rely on the event system pretty heavily. That being the case, I suppose we could still get a bandit release without the system, but bandit encounters would be pretty basic. The event system is supposed to make those, as well as zombie encounters, more dynamic. Hopefully it's all released in tandem, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I hope they really dive into the event system and use it for more than just bandits. It's a cornucopia of potential waiting to be explored.
