The "chicken coop" is a joke

Why would you make something we have wanted in game for years a cartoonish version of what you already have in game at the Animal Horders POI?

It's just so silly and cartoonish. It doesn't fit the vibe of the game at all. WHY would you do this? NO ONE would make something this colorful and silly.

PLEASE give us a REAL chicken coop like a normal human would make. NO ONE would make this plastic Fisher Price joke of a chicken coop.

Is this what happens when you sell your game to BI? It has to morph into some cartoonish version of itself so you can sell us a real chicken coop skin later? I just can't understand the design philosophy behind this. It is SO OUT OF PLACE compared to literally EVERYTHING else in game.

Everything else looks like it belongs in the zombie apocalypse. The is a colorful kids game chicken coop. NOT a zombie apocalypse chicken coop. It DOES NOT fit the aesthetic one bit. I personally DO NOT want to see them move towards "humor" in their design. This is supposed to be a "scary" game. Not a silly one. The chicken coop is SILLY.

You don't think those playhouses would exist in the world before zombies? And then still be around after the fact? Jesus, maybe cry about something that actually matters. If a kids playhouse existing in the world ruins the game for you I find it hard to believe everything else in the game doesn't bother you. It absolutely fits in. And it looks even better with the tools installed.

I completely agree that is should look like whatever we can find, but taking a bunch of plastic and molding it into a kids playset item just seem STUPID in my opinion. You would make it more functional and have a much better design if you were actually making it. This just looks like you stole one out of a playground.

It's a bad design choice. It takes you further out of the games setting. I have no issue with them existing. Leave the kids playset in the playground please. That is where it belongs. They simply took a known game asset and attached a chicken coop code to it. It's the laziest design they could do.

I think I would have preferred something more gritty as well. I think the armor, etc make sense as does the current coop. That being said since every other work table follows a particular theme and so I think so should the coop. It doesn't seem like it would mesh well within your base filled with smelters, workbenches, dew collectors, etc.

While I understand why it make sense and love the idea. I don't think it meshes well with the current aesthetic for buildings.

Not to play devils advocate but you have a point. Half of the skins are out of place like pirate, evil knight and Christmas. I’m glad we can use cosmetics as the nerd set was too goofy to use before.
 
As I said before, the chicken coop looks dumb. You could not take one of those playsets and make it into a remotely useful chicken coop. It's too small, for one. I have never made a chicken coop, but I could do so without any difficulty and have it far more effective and useful than this would be. But whatever. They won't change it. I won't use it. It's a poor addition and offers almost no value to any but a select few who use eggs or feathers past the first few days of the game. Let those who want to play with toys do so. I'd much rather any kind of chicken coop that was made with wood and metal, as it should be.
 
My silencer looks like a soda can. I think it's kind of cool. It shows human ingenuity during the zombie apocalypse.
Finally, if it's stupid and it works it's not stupid.
