.NET 4.7.1 cant be installed on windows 8, and my PC (3 years old) refuses to install Win 10. So basically I cant run the new version.

Why can it not install 4.7.1? It's listed as supported in Windows 7 SP and up. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56115

I have 4.7.1 installed on about 90 PCs at work.

The installation program gives an error and says the version of the operating system is not supported.. I dont know what's wrong really. Could be something with my PC since it doesnt allow me to install Win 10 either.

Seems like 4.7.1 has updated to 4.7.2

Note that this is no complaining from my side, just giving the info if this is affecting more than myself.

And the launcher is a great tool btw! When it worked

Same problem: Mod launcher not installing any mods

Mod launcher updated today 9/5/2018 and I added Undead legacy that I wanted to start playing.

On launching the game it never opened 7 days but just keep updating the mod (refreshing) then stops dead after refreshing process. friends on Discord mentioned that I must uninstall & reinstall and all problems will be solved.

Did reinstall 4 times and Launcher is now at a point that it does not want to install any mods at all. So empty mod launcher and both me and the launcher has now stopped working.

Any info / assistance would be greatly appreciated.

But don't put any more thought into this, I think that somehow my computer is fu.... up. I'll sort it out someway.

8 or 8.1? They don't do any kind of patching to Windows 8. They stopped that not long after 8.1 came out.

Sorry for the trouble. Let's see if we can piece together this puzzle.

If the mod list isn't being populated, you could try clicking on Disable SSL, then re-starting the mod launcher. If that does not work, click on File -> Clear -> Clear Mod History.

If those options don't work, would you mind posting your log file?

The log file can be found by clicking on the View menu, then Log files. Click on Upload Log file, and give me the pastebin.com link it gives you.

My older downloaded mods appear to work,anything new I do this is whats in the log, the actual Mod is not downloaded (tried with and without SSL, and Mirror)

Which version of the Mod Launcher are you using? And what version of windows?

Could you post your launcher log? Click on the View menu, then Log Files. Click on Upload Log file, and give me the pastebin.com link it gives you.

Win 8, I had to reset the PC some months back and it reset to Win 8. It used to be 10 but it won't let me update beyond 8 now. Guess something happend to the PC.

Sorry for the trouble. It sounds like your OneClick Cache is corrupted.

To delete the ClickOnce file cache delete the contents of this folder based on the operating system.
Windows XP and Server 2003 - %userprofile%\Local Settings\Apps\2.0\*.*

Windows Vista and Server 2008 and later - %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\*.*

Deleting these files will clear the information for all installed ClickOnce applications. They will re-install the next time their shortcut or URLs are used.

Sphereii - thanks for the response. I think OneClick has something to do with it, but clearing the cache did not fix the problem.. any idea what's next?

I also cannot find the installation and saved games for the game I was just playing this morning.

Hmm, that is odd. I've never had it not work for that type of issue. Can you open up your Run command ( Windows Key + R ) and paste this in:

%tmp%/7d2dlauncher.txt

that will open up the launcher's log file. If you can copy and paste the contents into pastebin.com, and post me the link, I'd be happy to look over it.

So I ran the link you provided but it didn't appear to do anything.

I am OK with re-installing windows. But can you help me find my saved game so I don't lose it?
