Simple mode greyed out

Hi I've not had any problems with your launcher until now. But it seems that the simple option is greyed out. I've white listed the launcher.exe which lol was a pain to find. I've tried running it as admin also. but nothing seems to allow me to use simple mode.7 days to Die Launcher screen shot.jpg

Sorry for the confusion. In the early releases, Simple had a place. However, with the current status of mods, there was little way to make sure they were cleanly installed. It's highly recommended to use Advanced mod to install, which will make a complete copy of the game to install the mods too.

Ok so I tried using the advanced mode. Tried loading starvation mod. On loading I got TONS of failed to load assets errors. Not sure if this is the Mod launcher or the mod itself.

As a side question I was wondering if you can only install one mod at a time with the advanced mode?

 
every time i try and launch a mod i either get told that im 'missing easyanticheat launcher .dlls' or when i get into game i have many error codes saying something about the easy anti cheat servers. ive deleted and reinstalled the easyanticheat, ive fixed the easyanticheat and nothing ive done has fixed this issue. any idea what im doing wrong?

Some of the mods need EAC disabled.

3) Click on Log Files

4) Click on Upload Log File, and give me the pastebin.com link.

5) In the same screen, change the 7d2dlauncher.txt drop down to output_log.txt

6) Click on Upload Log file, and give me the pastebin.cm link.

Ok I ran it again but this time without the launcher in a fresh install of the mod. Still got the errors so I'm thinking it has something to do with Starvation mod and not the launcher.

I would still be more than happy to help you, if you can provide those logs, even if you decide not to use the mod launcher.

 
Ok so since I'm not running it through the launcher how do I get the logs from the game itself?

Under the 7DaysToDie_Data/ folder in your game directory, you'll see an output_log.txt.

You can copy and paste the entire contents of the file to something like pastebin.com, and link us here :)

Is it possible you are trying to use Alpha 16.2 as a base for mods, instead of 16.4?

i dont know what ive done, but now it wants me to install game copy, but every time i try and install it it wont let me. doesnt do anything when i click the install button, whether its from 'download from steam' or 'download from existing copy'

 
Im not sure. how do i check that exactly? ive deleted and re-installed the game and the mod launcher.

Okay, let's start off with producing log files, rather than sending you on a potentially twisty path.

1) Start the mod you want to play. Exit after error.

2) In the Mod Launcher, click on the View menu, then Log Files

3) Click on Upload log file to upload the 7d2dlauncher.txt

4) In the same screen, change the drop down to show output_log.txt

5) Click on Upload log file.
