The 7D2D Mod Launcher - A Mod Launcher for 7 Days to Die

Hi again!

I've uninstalled + deleted the config from Appdata. Also, I've now tested with some other mod, but the outcome is the same. Please have a look at the logfile:

https://pastebin.com/qx0Qy5cG

The application shows a pretty short download time ;)

The following downloads will occur to install the mods for this server:

-
https://gitlab.com/Sphereii-mentals/winterproject-2018

-
https://gitlab.com/DUST2DEATH/hdhq

Downloading
https://gitlab.com/Sphereii-mentals/winterproject-2018

Downloading is Done

Downloading
https://gitlab.com/DUST2DEATH/hdhq

Total Download Time: 00:00:04.60

To get any download reaction at all, I have to "Disable SSL" and enable "Direct Download".

Thanks!

Seems like somewhere along your internet connection, SSL is being blocked. A firewall or proxy somewhere a long the lines. Do any mods download (not modlets) with Disable SSL?

Hi!

As SSL works for every other application, I'm pretty sure that's not the issue. To test, I've disabled the Windows Firewall - that did not change anything :(

I've tried HDHQ and Winterproject 2018, both are not downloading at all.

Kind regards

Have you tried Taza's Grave? It uses a different host.

Tried Taza's Grave:

The following downloads will occur to install the mods for this server:

Downloading https://github.com/MrCerealGuy/Tazas-Grave/archive/v1.6.4.zip

Downloading is Done

Extracting \TempMods\v1.6.4.zip

Extractiong is Done

Total Download Time: 00:00:02.99

I manually tried the download link at it appears to really be only about 400KB of Data, so that would actually work. Is the main download of the HDHQ mod probably also that small? In that case, the real problem might be that I can't install the Modlets (from the manual clone I was expecting the whole mod to be about 4.4GB in size).

The download of Taza's Grave works with default settings (SSL enabled, Direct Download disabled).

Edit:

I've checked the TempMods directories and Taza's Grave appears to have installed correctly. The HDHQ mod however only downloaded a 40KB file that does not appear to be a valid mod.

Pulling a modlet created a .git directory so I've tried to manually pull the content from outside the ModLauncher:

git.exe pull -v --progress "origin"

warning: redirecting to https://gitlab.com/DUST2DEATH/hdhqmodlets.git/

POST git-upload-pack (187 bytes)

remote: Enumerating objects: 331, done.

remote: Counting objects: 96% (318/331)

Then it appeared to be stuck. However, as I write these lines and checked the process again, it is downloading now in the ModLauncher ...

Maybe I have a patience issue, I shall observe and report if everything works out now :) Or the fix was to do the manual pull - we'll see :)

Is it possible to use the mod launcher to install sdx mods to a server? If so is there a trick to it? When I point the launcher to a dedicated server folder it refuses to recognize it.

No,sorry. The mod launcher is meant just for clients, not servers.

Sorry I did not see your edits last night. It could be that the HDHQ mod is taking longer and longer to start download, as it checks its branch histories. Maybe I need to put in a YouTube video while we wait.

My apologies if this has already been asked, but if so, I couldn't find it in the search...

is there a recommended way to upgrade the game version in a "My Mods" install? Deleting the files, and re-installing from the steam version seems overly destructive.

Thanks in advance for any answers and/or links where this has already been discussed. Cheers!

It is a bit heavy handed. I'll look at a change to allow you to delete the files, but keep mod.

If you go to this path in Windows: %appdata%\..\Roaming\7D2DModLauncher, you should see an XML file for your My Mod. It can be used as a template if you wanted to store your mod somewhere online for it to download automatically for you.

Could you please check the bug with the box for refreshing mods automaticaly? i want to change some tings for ravenhearst to make my game harder but it resets it every time, copying new folders and wiping my changes, and also there is a bug where i cannot enter the mod launcher settings. the launcher is awesome and its easy to use tnx for working on it

I think this is where I need to post this. I installed the launcher and installed the ravenhearst 5 2k texture modpack, It initializes and the Fun Pimps load screen pops up, the n my cursor changes into the games cursor and then the whole thing stops and stays in a continuous load loop with the cursor then changing into the iconic blue circle still loading icon. If this was posted earlier I did not see it so please forgive an old gamer from missing a post.

PS. I never had any problems with the launcher and alpha 16 or any of its mods. Thank you in advance for such a wonderful program and hope to see this issue resolved.

is EAC enabled?

Hey guys, I have been running mods for the last year or so. For some reason, I cannot get into a modded game anymore. I try, but everything I do takes my to TFP 17.2 title screen. Maybe this is a common problem right now, because I have never run into this type of problem with the launcher before. I can try elaborating if this don't make any sense :)

Hey, I'm also having this issue as well, but EAC isn't enabled.

I have my output log here if that helps: https://pastebin.com/wxykLF2d

EDIT: Nvm, I just read "Stable Version of Ravenhearst 5.0 for 17.1 with Dust2Deaths 2K Hi Res Texture Pack. This version is not compatible with the other Versions" and I have 17.2 installed; my bad
