[SIZE=12pt][Greetings everyone and welcome to my immersive roleplay thread on 7 Days to Die, PS5 edition. I want to keep this initial post brief yet explain a little bit about what I am doing to further along my own enjoyment of the game and hopefully bring about some collaboration with other PS5 users who would want to join in and play from time to time to be involved with the RP and grow their gaming enjoyment. [SIZE=12pt]Please keep in mind that the lore discussed in my posts are simply my own story/spin about the game and seen through the eyes of my character. I am new to the game and will be posting it just like someone who is experiencing the story firsthand through their own eyes.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]If you would like your character to join in the story, roleplay, and become a part of the world… that is wonderful. [SIZE=12pt]American health authorities have not been able to identify a mysterious illness that has infected dozens of people and put the rest of the United States on alert – little is known about the cause of the illness however its aggressive attack on the immune system is unique.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]A total of 79 cases of the unknown viral infection have been reported in the city of Denver with ten patients in critical condition, the CDC said in a statement on Saturday. All patients are being treated in quarantine, and no deaths have been reported.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]According to the World Health Organization (WHO), symptoms of the illness are mainly a high-grade fever, with a number of patients having difficulty breathing, and stiffness of the joints.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]If this illness is brand new, then what do we know currently?[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]According to the Center for Disease Control, the infection broke out between December 2 and December 27, with some of the patients employed at a funeral home in the city of Denver.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Local media reported that the funeral home – which has been closed since January 1 for disinfection – is unsure if the transmission came from a work-related activity or if there is an outside source brought it into the workplace. This is sparking concerns that the virus might have been transmitted from another location making origin tracking of the virus more difficult.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Professor Shaun Armes, a viral expert at Harvard University, said it is highly likely that the outbreak was caused by a “brand-new viral strain that has not been observed in prior clinical trials.”[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]“The concern now is whether the origin of the virus is related to the funeral home or if this a problem on a larger scale that originated from another unknown source making the source harder to find and adds another obstacle to curb the potential of an outbreak,” he told HNN.[/SIZE]
Authorities have said that there has been no obvious evidence of human-to-human transmission so far, and no health care workers have been infected. At least 98 people who have had close contact with those infected have been placed under medical observation.
Professor Armes said the severity of the situation to come depends on how the virus in Denver can be transmitted among humans.
“If it only transmits in a less conventional way among humans, now that the funeral home has been shut down and sanitized, the chances for people to be infected will be low,” he said.
However, the possibility of human-to-human transmission cannot be ruled out.
“Most often, viruses can be transmitted among humans. It is only a matter of how contagious it is,” he said.
