PC Stamina Woes

Why did the devs decide to change stamina so that it is drained empty in the middle of melee combat?

It’s like 8 swings then all of a sudden “OUT OF STAMINA” “OUT OF STAMINA” “OUT OF STAMINA” “OUT OF STAMINA” “OUT OF STAMINA” and I gotta stand there watching zombies carry out what is best described as a violent gangbang.

Seriously? From A11 to A17 it has mostly declined against the players.

What was so hard about just adding Vehicles, traders, and electricity to what A12 or A13 or even A14 was? That all we have asked about over the years.

What’s with all the extra crap and stuffing around?

Hm... ways of alleviating that are:

-Spending points in relevants perks such as sexy t-rex, strenght, and agility

-Ensuring that your character is has eaten and drank, I recommended coffee as it helps with stamina regen

-Using range instead of melee

Lots of ways to deal with the zombies. I highly suggest dealing with zombies one on one, and perking into stealth as well.

Meanwhile, if you truly believe that the devs don't care. Then the Alpha 18 dev diary, with numerous reponses from faatal, Gazz, and madmole must be my imagination.

well... yes - i agree, there is such a thing :D this animations looks vulgar....

Everyone will tell you, that you that the one doing wrong. But I also think that's not the point. The problem is poor design. Of course, can cope with poor stamina, but is it an interesting gameplay?

Just curious before they delete this, when/in what situation would you have stamina be drained empty?

Simple solution. Take 7 swings and step back a moment. Now go enjoy a happy life with no anger in it!

 
I'm curious to know why this is coming out now from OP? Did you just start playing again? You should have tried A17.0 <- now that was a stamina struggle.

I don't find it that bad now, it's just a matter of planning attacks and using combinations of attacks that reserve as much stamina as you need. You kinda need to anticipate when the possibility exists to be overrun and plan accordingly. Sometimes its best to just accept that you cannot handle certain things until more prepared. I suppose it's like a minigame in itself. Now, do I think it really adds much to the game? Probably not. It wouldn't make much difference for me either way. I didn't like 17.0 though... that was just too much.

 
I like these discussions, they are a symbol of freedom: even a bad player is allowed to roughly express his opinion and it doesn't matter that he doesn't understand how a survival game works.

I have literally read nothing on here worth replying to. No fixes just a bunch of “I do it this way” or “try harder noob” posts, ohh and nearly forgot a few “please be respectful” posts, which is ironic when the dev’s insult our intelligence by adding dumb crap.

So the timer starts again for this post to inevitably get ‘edited’ like my original post. I get it. I actually do. The Dev’s don’t like the truth and that is their decision. I just hope they know if they made a challenging game that is actually fun, there are many players like myself who would consider paying for it. Trust me there are a large number of torrents out there.

Actually perhaps they should change their names to The Ridiculous Pimps?

I also called A17 a pile of ****. But I don't think the devs actually want to crap over me or their game.

They do what they think is right... they are not (dont take it too serious, its a joke :D ) :D but that is another discussion.

You are just going around throwing ♥♥♥♥.

And in a way I thank you because you show everyone what these forumdiscussions COULD be and unite those on opposite fronts :D

altough i don't think it's a good idea to come here and claim that you torrented the game - not cool.

and yes, they can handle critisism, thats why the editing note says "kept critisism, removed trash".

what did you expect? you described situations you experienced and other players described their experiences and how they handle them.

Just because you don't like how your situation played out, doesn't mean that there will be a "fix" for that. it just doesn't work that way.

you can fix bugs or change certain mechanics. you dont "fix" your game to match the gameplay of one (1!) player
