PC Some issues with sound

Hi all I'm just wondering if anyone has a sound problem like a delay while shooting or interacting with things. It seems to be when a generator in the area is running its so annoying as the delay in sound can be 2 secs after I open a chest use a forge etc. 

Has anyone else experienced this?

Only time I ever experienced something like that was when I'd lost connectivity to the server briefly.  You try to shoot, or open a container, and nothing happens until connection is re-established, and then it all happens at once.
