Bought solar cells from the trader but then realised you still need the Solar Bank to fit them into?

Can't find a recipe for this, is it deliberately missing or just bugged or am I missing something important?

 
Solar banks can rarely be found in working stiffs too.

Also: I remember in early experimental that wrenching the broken solar banks would sometimes give you a solar cell but I haven't got a single one for quite some time now.

 
Ooo...didn't know about the Working Stiffs, and I agree, I used to find the cells in the earliest A17e, but have never found any since.

Now I'm curious, can you hook up to existing solar cells you find everywhere?
You'd have to test it, but from what a dev said about hooking up existing lights in POIs I'd _guess_ that you can't.

Doh. So the actual cells show up at an earlier level of barter than the banks you need to use them.

Needs a tweak me thinks.

I suppose I will work to raise that barter level.

Honestly, the banks are rare at the shop, as are the panels, so if you see them you should buy them.

Neither have i. They sold for quite a nice sum, so i guess they first decided to remove them

as harvestable, or reduce drop rate. Then make them unsellable. And then "forget" to make

them harvestable again.

But i really don't know the reason.

I'm hoping they add them back as harvestable, even a 5% chance as I've always liked the idea at end-game to have 2 solar banks full of cells to power and lived in home.

Making the wires invisible while not holding the wiring tool would be a nice bonus too!

I just added a recipe for Cells and gated it at level 150.

I like having power in my home.
