As of right now I can not chain solar banks together. This is something you can do in real life, so I'm not sure of the issue from an rp standpoint. Although I could see where revamping your one primary power source may be an issue.

So my solution is to allow players to upgrade solar banks so they can hold more solar cells. Maybe just double the capacity. It could be a two stage upgrade or just add in 2 mod slots that add the slots for solar cells
 
I'd like more solar capacity. But it isn't too critical for me. I usually have a large base, and putting 4+ solar banks on the roof isn't a problem. I've also placed them in a location on the ground with a fence around so I don't crash into them with a vehicle and then run the wires to the base using buried relays. So it isn't really a problem for me. But it would be nice.

Not only solar panels, but also generators. This is a long-standing and not very clear limitation of electricity. In a good way, they need to rework the entire algorithm associated with electricity, so that the devices have separate inputs and outputs.

Although I have learned to live with what we have, I simply split my electrical network into smaller ones and do not worry about it too much.
