PC SMG question

if you read the persk in question it tells you :) they are handguns so gunlsinger because gunslinger actually says it unlocks crafting of smg's

 
It's the higher tier weapon for AGI if i remember. As it also uses 9mm ammo, just like the pistol, it's just a step up. Not to mention they strengthened the gun if i recall the talks about it.

Similarly, you have a hunting rifle, m60 and ak47 using the long rounds (7.65?), with the last two being guns with more of an auto shoot, than single. Similarly like SMG compared to Pistol.

 
Yes I'm very familiar with the weapon but with A18 changes I was just looking for clarification on the perks mostly. I probably could have articulated it better. Basically does the Machine gunner perk have any effect on the SMG with being full auto without mods, etc.

That actually brings up another question... does throwing a full auto mod in something change what perks affect damage?

Yes I know the gunslinger perk is where SMG is listed.

Yes I know you need a schem for SMG now for crafting.

 
Mods dont affect what perks the weapon uses. I faintly remember someone making ak47 semi auto to not waste so much ammo. You could do the same with smg.

I consider it a step down myself, the pistol does FAR more damage, and you can also put a full auto mod into it. Turning it into a smg.
