Sledgehammers should have Perk Books

As it stands, sledgehammers are quite underpowered compared to something like the classic club. I really think they should have their own perk book series.

I propose the following:
Hammer It Home

  • Vol. 1: Swing 10% faster with Sledgehammers.
  • Vol. 2: Sledgehammers degrade 20% slower.
  • Vol. 3: Take 5% less damage per kill, up to 15%. Degrades by 1 level every 5 seconds.
  • Vol. 4: Power attacks have a 10% chance to send nearby enemies flying.

(similar to the Stun Baton Repulsor Mod + Nerd Tats AOE, only without the shock)

  • Vol. 5: Getting hit restores 5 stamina.
  • Vol. 6: Do 10% more damage to knocked down and stunned enemies.
  • Vol. 7: Attacking while falling more than 3 meters deal 2x damage, past 7 meters 3x damage, and past 15 meters deal 5x damage

Completion Bonus

  • Standing completely still while holding a sledgehammer reduces incoming damage by 50%

Now it obviously doesn't have to be these specifically, but they were the best ideas I could come up with while keeping sledges balanced. It would encourage a playstyle where you just stand there swinging, contrary to all other playstyles, and would shake up the same formula that goes with every other playstyle.

1. I like the idea.

2. I think EVERY melee type should get a set of perk books, to help them stay relevant even in end game.
