Skill Points as Items on Quest Rewards

My mod is used on quests which are returned to the trader and are limited to quests only (not challenges).

Rather than giving the skill point out directly to the player, it is given as an item which when consumed will increase your skill point by 1.

There doesn't seem to be a buff to increase available skill points, so it is instead it is creating a new quest to give a skill point with no demands, so it completes immediately. I cannot remove the quest ui box from displaying.

This makes skill points lootable and tradable between players, and it stops questing being pointless.

nice, i made a mod that does something similar, except that when you complete a Tier you receive skill points.

I did it that way, to keep from being over the top, but I like your idea that it is an option.

is it a guaranteed option, or is it random?

 
FWIW, this conflicts with manux's extra vehicles.. specifically, his monohog conflicts with one of your quest items.

 
So does the skill point reward come instead of the normal options? Or is it ontop of them? I kinda of like being able to get the other rewards still, but love the option of taking a skill point as reward.

To reply 7 months later (going to play again). It gives the skill point note on top of the rewards. The guy I played with would never quest, so it was a nice incentive to make him.

 
I found a bug last night. The fetch quests are now listed as challenges, as such no skill book is given. The change is easy but I need to make sure it doesn't break anything else.
