PC Simple question about charging batteries

I do have all gas generators now working on all electric components, I am just upgrading to solar now.

My 8 turrets are on 1 generator each and use less than a full engine. So 1 solar cell should take care of each of those. Of course that is 8 battery banks, 8 solar banks and 8 solar cells, but I am fairly patient in getting solar done. I know it will take a while, and in the meantime I can just do quests or go wrenching in some part of a town.

Why not just connect them together? You don't need each to be separate.

Except the cost of the solar bank, I would need the same amount of solar cells to run them all. Its also a part of my OCD Symmetry thing to, hard to explain unless you see my base.

I have all 8 turrets on separate generators so that it uses less gas on each turret. I can run them for 3 days without needing to gas up. I sometimes forget to gas up so its safer to have them run beyond 1-2 days, in case I forget.
