PC Shotgun shadownerfed?

I'm testing shotgun in A17.4 . I usually 1 or 2 shot zombies with no mods and no ranged perks. However now it seems its spread is even bigger than before and I waste entire magazines on a single zombie. Instead a scope pistol is doing far better damage than a shotgun ever could.

Is this normal?

Edit: Correction.I was using muzzle break. Now I'll try it with duckbill and I'll see if there's a difference in the damage as well.

I have to agree with Shotgun and Blunderbuss damage. Prior a shot to the face at 2 blocks was a guarantee kill.
