Is anyone else getting extremely frustrated with the game settings randomly resetting on their own? I could live with it if the defaults were at least decent.

But I constantly have to go back into the settings to:

1) Turn off DLSS, because it makes the picture look incredibly pixelated and artifacted. The ghosting trails behind zombies are especially terrible.

2) Crank up several graphics options that are responsible for 80% of the visual quality but are set to zero by default.

I'm more than willing to sacrifice a bit of performance (say, 20%) to avoid looking at graphics that feel worse than Alpha 7. It's getting really old having to fix this all the time for no reason.

It's a voxel game made by an indie developer, what did you expect? It's not a game made by billionaire studios like Rockstar, Sony or Capcom.

I haven't ever had settings reset beyond a couple of times when an update changed settings, requiring them to reset them. If the settings aren't being saved, I would check your log for errors and make sure you have the game directory and save folders both set to ignored/whitelisted in your antivirus. Also, if you are using and kind of folder syncing, such as with OneDrive, you might be downloading the old settings from the cloud.

Also, if you are using mods, those can change your settings. Try removing all mods and trying a new game for a while to see if you still have problems. If not, try to figure out which mod is causing the problem.
