Settings opens Windows Registry Editor?!

Summary: What idiot decided that opening the ACTUAL WINDOWS REGISTRY EDITOR was the best way for people to edit their settings?!  One wrong click in the registry and people will BRICK.  THEIR.  COMPUTERS.  If you're not going to make a dedicated settings window at least make a .cfg in the game directory.  90% of computer users have no business even knowing that the registry editor exists, much less actually using it.

Bug Description: Settings opens Windows Registry Editor

 

Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

 

1) Open Launcher

2) Click "Tools"

3) Click "Open Settings"

 

Actual result: Windows Registry Editor opens to the game's settings registry keys

 

Expected result: A dedicated settings window opens and lets me edit the settings without potentially killing my entire computer.

 
The point is to be able to delete "The Fun Pimps" registry for when you are clearing all the game files or editing game settings without opening it. Everything in that registry entry it takes you to is directly linked to the settings in game.

If you don't like the registry, then I'd recommend opening the game and changing your settings there. Both are perfectly fine options. You're not going to brick your computer by changing game  files. That's not how any of this works.

If you're clearing all the game files (aka uninstalling the game), the uninstall process should be able to clear the registry without the user having to touch it.  If you're trying to edit game settings without opening the game, that's literally what a config FILE is for.

I'm perfectly comfortable editing the registry myself, although I'd much rather not mess with it even so; I've worked in IT and know what not to touch.  The problem is that most people don't know what not to touch.  Changing game settings in the registry won't brick your computer, correct.  However, if you don't know what you're doing, it's unfortunately quite easy to click the wrong thing and break something unrelated to the game.  I stand by my statement that 90% of computer users, including gamers, have no business even knowing the registry exists, much less editing things in it.

What really blows my mind is that there was a config file, but the devs decided that directly editing the registry is better idea somehow.
