ServerTools: Config folder is not created

When you first start ST, a new folder with the config should be created. But for some reason this doesn't happen.
You can see ST starting in the console.
This error appears in the log:
[MODS] Error while executing ModEvent "GameAwake" on mod "ServerTools"
[MODS] Error while executing ModEvent "GameStartDone" on mod "ServerTools"
The type initializer for 'ServerTools.CommandList' threw an exception. ---> Directory does not exist

The game runs on a Windows Server 2022.
All other mods run without problems.

ST-Version G - 2.0.1.1 for v2.0 experimental.
I don't think this is a problem with ST itself.
It seems as if ST doesn't have write permissions, even though it has the same permissions as all the other mods.

Where did you get the new servertools version?

I see no updates on https:// bitbucket.org /obsessive-coder/sevendaystodie-servertools/

The open source code is now posted on GitLab at: https://gitlab.com/obsessivecoder-group/servertools-7dtd

The latest ServerTools release can be downloaded here: https://gitlab.com/-/project/714089...52d26819127868d/7dtd-ServerTools-G2.0.1.2.zip

You can also use this link which is useful for hosts: https://gitlab.com/-/project/714089...006c0a4bf3624/7dtd-ServerTools-MostRecent.zip

I stole all of that from the Discord server. You should be a member there if you are using the tool.

I recommend you using anything but not ST, cheaters can bypass that tool and only causes you headache. If you can go with CSMM/CPM or Botman it's the way to go.

That tool is heavily exploited, and also not more than half of the things does not work properly.

The previous statement is entirely inaccurate.
Numerous and countless servers depend on ST to ensure their operational functionality to host 7d2d in a multiplayer setting
The ST developer has dedicated both day and night to its maintenance without receiving any compensation for many years.
The ST program is quite comprehensive and necessitates the updating of numerous countless tools with each alpha release, which is a time-consuming process.
As of July 10th, the following fixes have been implemented by the developer in his last update patch.

ST is not an anti cheat service. If you want to stop hackers, do it yourself mando. You ran a server full of them. Botman creator talks to me for solutions when he has problems he can't solve. Not sure why you are acting strange about ST when its offered to you free but if you prefer acting like this, that is okay. The community knows a lot better than to trust you when you pick on someone that goes out of their way to help people every single day for free. I encourage people to use all of the managers as each one has specific functions they are great at. If you want me to update the anti cheat tools that have not been updated in over four years, this was a bad way to do it

I already do myself, I don't coop with cheaters so they can bypass my tool.

All I meant to say is your tool is an exploit for many cheats out there, not only from the napvp guys.

Thank you all for your helpful replies.

My server is not publicly listed as I host it on my private proxmox
for some work colleagues and friends, so I can whitelist steam-ID's

My google-fu is apparently not good enough, else I would have found the gitlab page.
regarding discord, If I don't find the right server, I'll ask here again.

cheers,
Pansenmann

PS: I only started with 7dtd last year when a work colleague convinced me to try it
and I shortly after began experimenting with dedicated server settings

PPS: thanks for mentioning Botman, will have a look at that aswell
