I do not think this is a bug. I think nobody ever thought about that and it would be really really nice if we can delete servers from the favorite list in future.
Currently the favorite list will gets longer and longer with servers we never played.
(I had over 100 inside but had deleted my SSD in the beginning of 2025. thats why there are "only" 21 servers right now (where I played only on the marked servers)
Maybe because IPs have given to new servers but the game doesnt know that?
I was never on any of the servers in my list which are not marked and I PLEASE wanna delete them.

Reproduction Steps
save a server as favorite and wait until the server is no longer available

I don’t think those are favorites as the star is dark. The top 7 are your favorites which the browser is putting at the top of the list
i think they were in the past, but the gamehoster has given the ip to another server and then the new server is shown in the list.
It is the only thing I could imagine. I have asked for a solution many 7 days to die veterans and until now, nobody could delete those "spam". :)

If you want to clear the history cache, follow these steps.

  1. Start the game with the launcher from Steam/MS
    Click on the Tools Tab
  2. Click on Open Settings
  3. This will open the Registry right on 7 Days to Die (Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\The Fun Pimps\7 Days To Die)
  4. Scroll down and find ServerHistoryCache
  5. Delete this key
  6. F5 to refresh your registry, then close regedit
That will reset it.
