Server browser horror

Is there another server browser as broken and useless as the one TFP has provided to us? Facepalm me and give me a cookie if you want but it doesn't help players navigate this horror of a browser. There are 20 something pages of chinese character servers with 5/8 players at all times, someone trolling a server name bashing Behaviour and TFP at the top, and it says there are 92 servers that fit my preferences when I narrow it down but shows me 8. But sometimes it shows me zero. Sometimes it says that the number of matches is exceeded and shows me just a few.

What?

You can't put a parameter in that is something like "any server with >60 minute days". You have to choose the EXACT time, the exact difficulty (like I can't select any servers with both 4 or 5 difficulty). Nothing can be a range.

What?

TFP are aware and are currently looking into fixing the spam. For now, you can utilize use the search filter to bypass them. Changing the language should do the trick.

How long has it been broken? The chinese fakes are only part of the problem.
For a couple of months, iirc. I don't think it's an easy/simple fix or they would have done something about it by now. As for the other issues, I don't know. I've never encountered them before.

Well it worked at one time, and it would be an easy fix to revert it to a usable state.

It's probably something along the lines of:
"It used to work, but only insofar that people weren't abusing it. Now that they've started, something should prolly be done; but we haven't gotten around to it yet."
EDIT:ed a bit ..

What our dear mod is trying to convey, is probably something along the lines of:

Probably closer to that whack-a-mole game. Smack one and it pops up somewhere else.

I don't think it's something they changed that caused this. It's just something that became the issue it is now a couple months back and TFP hasn't released any updates until the 3.0 experimental, so there wasn't any chance for it to be fixed before now. Since they didn't include a fix in 3.0, it can be assumed that it's not a simple fix and will require more effort. As mentioned, you can weed out the majority by changing the language.

As far as the filters go, they haven't updated filters to work with the new 3.0 game options yet. I'm sure they plan to do so, but it's likely something they'll do after they have 3.0 stable and probably after 3.1 or even 3.2 as they'll be probably be adding more options in the next couple of updates and it's easier to just update the filters once rather than every update. Still, it obviously makes it a pain until then.
