PC Searchable Trees?

Hello, I am researching for a blog post on the game and after browsing Reddit, I saw where someone said they found a searchable tree. 

Is this a bug or not? I THINK I remember a dev stream where they showed it off, but I could be remembering it wrong. Any help would be appreciated. 

Also, if you have experienced any bugs that you think have not been addressed, please reply with them. I give full credit.

That's a peculiar approach.. you doing a school project or something?

Searchable trees, ye, bug. Mostly related to messing up versions of the game and/or mods.

Other bugs? There's plenty; there's even a public listing of known bugs on this very forum. For, you know, bug reporting purposes on an early access title.

 
Um, no. I am a geeky blogger and have realized there are no articles on the game. I decided to try and fill a niche. I already have a couple of posts on my blog about this game. 

 
I think the early versions of the tree stump were searchable containers. But that was a while ago, and I can't really be certain.

 
I had it happen to me, but it was version 19.  In fact I have a post here somewhere with a pic about it.  Prevailing wisdom at the time was that it happens when a searchable item and a tree are on the same block, so to speak.  So yes a bug I think .

 
It has been reported before and I think it a case of cross spawning, like a tree spawning on a birds nest, and when harvested you get feathers/eggs. 

 
I ran across a Searchable tree just today.  As I was chopping down trees for wood.  never got to search it thou.  chopped it down before  it registered in my mind that it said "Search tree"
