Rev's Simple UI

Simple UI Update v3.1.0

-[FIX] Added back the xpath line to remove the default food and water bars. (accidentally removed in first big rewrite)

-[Added] An Alt_Configs folder with alternate configs has been added. These are to swap xmls for different default layouts. There's a text file in the mods folder with a little more info.

Simple UI No Options Update v3.1.0

-[FIX] Added back the xpath line to remove the default food and water bars. (accidentally removed in first big rewrite)

-[Added] An Alt_Configs folder with alternate configs has been added. These are to swap the windows xml to any layout Simple UI offers. There's a text file in the mods folder with a little more info.

I will hopefully be able to update the Toolbelts tomorrow with Alt Configs as well but no promises.
I'm also still looking into an issue with controllers, no word on that one yet.

Hi, want to give some of these a try, when I click on the link in the spoiler comments I get several options to download when I enter teh folder.  Or do I just downlaod the whole folder and move it to MODs?

Hmm i not sure which one is the UI but I wont get the the one that shown in your screenshot.
Simple UI is the Left HUD mod and comes with buttons to toggle between layouts in live game.

Simple UI No Options is the left HUD mod without the buttons and to switch layouts requires copying one from the Alt_Configs provided in mod.

Simple UI Toolbelt is the toolbelt mod and comes with buttons to toggle between layouts in live game.

Simple UI Toolbelt No Options is the toolbelt mod without the buttons and to switch layouts requires copying one from the Alt_Configs provided in mod.

All of this info is in OP under each mod and screenshots at bottom of OP is most of the current layouts you can have, all other screenshots are outdated and/or of prototype stuffs. The no options versions though of course will come without the buttons seen in screenshots but can still be any layout. This of course would require you to try them out and see which one you like but you can see a good portion of the layouts in the screens in OP to get an idea of whether you might like any of the Left HUD or Toolbelt layouts.

All mods in the OP affect the UI in some way, if you had an idea of which part of the UI you are referencing I might be able to help more.

I mean as the image i posted I feel like i missing food/water and the buffs info is different as well.

The top is the one OP and below is mine.

Install Simple UI or Simple UI No Options(The first or second mod listed in OP) it's the Left HUD portion. You only seem to have the Toolbelt installed currently.

On exit the choices are not saving.  Always have to reset HUD, tool belt.

Did I miss something?

WARNING:

You should uninstall any older Simple UI mods that were meant for an Alpha version of the game to avoid any conflicts.

All of the mods have been renamed and some function differently.

Simple UI v4.0.0
Refactored and/or rewrote a large percentage of the mods code for better optimization, function, and a more unified naming scheme.

So much has changed I can't post everything here. Check the mod description page for a full current list of features, tools and add-ons for the new version of Simple UI.

Core Mod Features Overview

  • 7 different Hud layouts.
  • 3 Buff Panel choices per hud layout.
  • Easier to read and more vibrant hud stat bars.
  • Stamina bar icon is replaced with the sprint icon when sprinting instead of sprint icon appearing next to left hud.
  • Toolbelt Keys displayed above each toolbelt slot. (no matter what you set the hotkey to)
  • Compatible with Wookie's 12 slot toolbelt and Khaine's 15 slot toolbelt (You will not have toolbelt keys displayed though)
  • Plus a couple things I probably forgot

Simple UI Tools Added

Hud Blocker (RWSUI_HUD_Blocker)

-This mod will cause Simple UI to not use it's left HUD window.

ToolBelt Blocker (RWSUI_ToolBelt_Blocker)

This mod will cause Simple UI to not use it's ToolBelt window.
WARNING: If using a hud layout with stat bars next to the toolbelt this mod will cause Simple UI to not use them as well.
Change the version number in this mods ModInfo.xml to 1.1 to also remove the food and water bars from the vanilla toolbelt.

HUD Switcher (RWSUI_HUD_Switcher)

This mod will cause Simple UI to switch it's hud layout based on this mods version number.
By default it will only cause Simple UI to switch to a detailed buff panel in the left hud. (v1.2)
Just change the version number in this mods ModInfo.xml to get Simple UI to switch it's layout. Changes must be done before the game is launched in order to see them take affect.
More info and a list of version options can be found in a Readme.txt in the mods folder.

HUD Switcher Bundle (RWSUI_HUDSwitcher_Bundle)

This is for all those that really don't want to edit the version number in the HUD Switcher.
This zip contains a bunch of folders named with each versions number (i.e. v1.0, v1.1, v1.2, v2.0, etc...)
Each HUD Switcher mod is preset with the version number of the folder it's in.
Just copy the RWSUI_HUD_Switcher folder of your choice into your Mods folder and you'll get the HUD layout for that version.
A brief description on the versions can be found in the Readme.txt inside any of the RWSUI_HUD_Switcher folders.

ToolBelt Keys Remover (RWSUI_ToolBeltKeys_Remover)

This mod will cause Simple UI to remove the ToolBelt Keys and backgrounds displayed above the toolbelt.
Change the version number in this mods ModInfo.xml to 1.1 to only remove the backgrounds from the toolbelt keys.

Color Changer (RWSUIT_ColorChanger)

Template for changing some of the colors in Simple UI.
By default this mod makes no changes to Simple UI so that it can serve as a template for making Simple UI Themes.
All themes names should start with "RWSUIT_" and then your theme name. (i.e. "RWSUIT_ColorChanger", "RWSUIT_VanillaTheme", etc...)
This file just has set xpath lines preset with the default colors used in Simple UI's XUi_Common/styles.xml file. This is to make it easier for anyone to change some of the colors in Simple UI without affecting the core mod.

Vanilla Theme (RWSUIT_VanillaTheme)

This theme changes all HUD bars and the toolbelt to use the same colors as in vanilla 7 Days.
Changes the Simple and Detailed Buff Panels to match.
Does not apply any changes to radial HUD bar backgrounds.
Also serves as an example of making a small theme using a copy of the color changer.
All entries from the color changer that weren't changed were removed in this theme.

Simple UI Add-Ons
Many of these add-ons existed before and still worked however you should remove those old versions and install the new ones as the mod names have changed slightly in order to use a more unified naming scheme. Check OP for current list.

Discontinued Mods

Simple UI No Main Menu News Panel (RW_SimpleUI-NoMMNP)
Simple UI VBP Lockable Slots Panel (RW_SimpleUI-vbpLockableSlots)
Simple UI VVS Lockable Slots (RW_SimpleUI-vvsLockableSlots)

Coming Later (sometime after game version 2.0)

Right hud layouts to match with the current hud layout options. (not started yet)
Compass layouts to match with the current hud layout options. (not started yet)
The return of the server info panel. (not updated yet) (undecided still may discontinue)

Wow, you really have UI modding figured out. Could I make a request for a version that is kind of a hybrid of 4.2 layout with https://www.nexusmods.com/7daystodie/mods/6542, but brings all left/hud and right/hud items to a postition low and anchored off the tool belt? This version would specifically be perfect for Ultrawide screens  21.:9 and especially so, for 32:9. I try to play on 32:9 and the left and right hud are so far out, I can't really see them. So again I am essentially asking for a low and wide centralized hud to use on 32:9. For personal preference on other options I like 10 slot toolbelt, 3 slot forge , 12 slot crafting que. Thank you

The 7.x layouts have most of the stat bars under the toolbelt and a stealth bar on top of toolbelt. Although I do refer to it as the minihud due to the bars being thin. This is currently my fav HUD option but I'm only 1440p here.

I can poke around at another layout though next time I am tinkering on the mod, prob won't be till after game version 2.0 though.
