[RESOLVED] A20 Linux Dedicated server hangs at "INF Dymesh door replacement: imposterBlock"

Hey All,

Just wondering if anybody has this issue.  I have been running my 7 Days servers on my Dual Xeon server for ages with no issues.  However since A20, have been unable to get the server started.  It seems to generate everything fine, but when it gets to the Dynamic thread starting, it kinda hangs.

Processes seem to be doing something, up to 15% usage on the 8 cores assigned.  Memory seems to be in use, but it never gets past this stage.

I have left it there for 15 hours to make sure its not just slow, but even after that time there is no change.  Rebuilt the VM its running on, with same results.  I am still running the VM as a Ununtu Xenial container (yes I know its older, but never had an issue till now with any games), so that might be it, but trying to see if anybody else is having the same sort of issues

This gets similiar results If I generate on windows and copy over to the Linux box.

Any thoughts, suggestions or ways to diagnose wtf is going on?

UPDATE:  It does same with 20.04. This seems to be happening with "Open Game Panel".  Works fine with LGSM with same virtual specs.

I will update further if I find what the issue is.  Rebuilding the OGP agent box again.

UPDATE2: A fresh server build of 20.04 with Open Game Panel Agent, seems to work.  It appears that doing release upgrades from 16.04 seems to cause some issues along the way.  It was never getting to this line.  Might be some sort of library/network  issue that gets resolved with a fresh install of 20.04

I have the same issue. Completely fresh install (New windows 10 install and new 7 days dedicated experimental A20b218 install).

Server panel launch and in the final load hand on INF Dymesh door replacement: imposterBlock.

No mods, vanilla only, RWG new map.

Other player have this issue ?

Hi, I've been having similar issues. You might get some info out of this report and the two others in the series.

Best,

Not sure about Windows, but my issue was with the Linux server.  Seems to be a distribution/library problem most likely.  Works fine now with fresh version of Ubuntu Server 20.04.  Not had any issues with windows so far,  but then don't run servers on windows.

A fresh install of Ubuntu Server 20.04 got me going, at least temporarily. I'm back to the same issues now again, unfortunately, so I don't think it's a complete fix. At least not for me.

My client game is in Linux, too. basic system info:
Linix Mint 20.2, kernel 5.11
Intel i9-10900 10 core
64GB RAM
AMD Radeon RX 6800 X

Thanks,

Par
