Reset death count

Hello,

I was streaming the game with steam remote play from my desktop to my laptop. I was farming on the roof of my base when the game froze and I could not continue. So I went to the bathroom, but when I came back I was dead  

Is there a way to reset the death count? I found this old thread but i don't know if it still works...



I am mostly worried about my gamestage, I don't want it to drop. Will this also keep the gamestage from dropping?

UPDATE:

I changed the hex value for death count as described in the other forum thread and that does change the in game death count. However the gamestage seems to remain lower than if I had neved died. Does anyboy know how to fix the gamestage?

UPDATE:
I found out that gamestage is computed with this formula:

gameStage = ( playerLevel + daysSurvived ) * difficultyBonus

So my problem now is to restore "daysSurvived", which I guess is still inside the ttp file. Does anybody know the location?
