PC Removed versions from steam

while you can play v1.4 i was wondering if there is a way to get my hands on a copy for 1.0 because a mod i want to play is not updated. i have a few friends i want to play that mod with which is why i am asking. i am pretty sure TFP keeps the manifests but they likely would not give it.

In the past I've made comments about how I've saved nearly every version that has been on Steam.

Many have expressed an interest in also being able to build such a collection but since those versions were in the past it was believed to not be possible.

Recently I was shown this thread (related to another game):

After which I renamed the folder 'depot_251571' to 'Alpha 5.0' and moved it to be with the rest of my collection, cleared all registry and save entries, then ran the app from the folder to test...

thanks man, i had gone to steamdb before but i didnt bother checking inside the patchnotes for the manifest.

A good tip, I've never noticed that either. I've updated the above linked thread, which stopped at 17.1, with manifests for alpha 17.2 through the current 2.5 b32 hotfix.
