Refund

Unfortunately not.

I'm not happy about it at all. :-/
I really enjoyed playing the game, but without the horizontal camera inversion, it's unfortunately not that easy. :-(

Okay, I spoke with the QA team and they said that 1.0 did not have horizontal inversion and neither does 2.0. That means the current console version has never had horizontal look inversion. They are wondering how far back you are talking about where there was horizontal inversion.

If it was such a big deal you would have noticed within the first five minutes of playing and been able to easily secure a refund. But playing for hundreds of hours and then saying you can’t play without h-inversion is pretty suspect.

On a side note why is horizontal inversion even useful in first person? I understand it for 3rd person view games but not first person. Vertical inversion follows flight controls so it makes sense for those who are used to that but in what game would left mean right or right mean left?

Maybe when 3rd person view is fully supported they will add that control scheme but there’s no guarantee.

These kinds of posts are kind of over the top, don't you think? You've made a SINGLE post about your problem and suddenly you want a refund and claim (I doubt it was anything more than a lie) that you contacted a lawyer just because no one has responded? Most people on this forum are not playing on PS5 and so don't know the answers for you. Most don't even look in the support forum. Those who are on the support forum and might be able to help are doing so voluntarily and don't always have a lot of time to try to help, especially if the post has very little information provided. If you don't get a reply after one post, then post again in your thread after a few days or a week. It's that easy.

And, btw, there is a nice big Contact button on their home page:

That takes you to their contact information:

That doesn't even take a Google search.

Be careful where you show that information. TFP might receive a couple tens of thousands of spam requests for jars from disgruntled users. :P

It makes a huge difference.
As I said, try it out.

Because of this detail, I haven't been able to play Ark or Red Dead Redemption 2 right now.

It doesn't feel right to me.

Version 1.0 had the complete camera inversion.
If I didn't care about this game, I wouldn't go to so much trouble.

But there's nothing I can do right now.

I'll submit proper requests in the future, without keywords.

I've received some new information that gives me hope that I'll be able to enjoy the game again in the future.

So, thank you very much. :-)

Hi, in German: You really mean horizontal inversion, meaning left and right swapped? I couldn't imagine playing like that. In your settings photos, there's a menu item for vertical inversion, meaning you move the stick up and look down, as is typical for a flight controller.

Yeah. Vertical makes sense because some games have it one way and others have it the opposite, so being able to change it makes sense. But all games that I have played use horizontal touring the same way, so inverting it would mean you have to invest every game you play or they will feel wrong, and most games won't have horizontal inverting options, which will mean not being comfortable playing other games. Better to just get used to normal horizontal controls, imo.

Still, adding an option to invert controls isn't very difficult or time consuming, so I don't see any reason not to add it. But maybe without such a large font?

I have never recognized that it was in the settings. Only vertical.

Games that have 3rd person following camera will sometimes let you invert the left and right turning but I’ve never seen it in a first person shooter.

I still get a chuckle out of the lawyer comment. The cost per hour for a lawyer would far exceed the cost of the game refund. Throw in the fact that the refund policy is spelled out at whatever storefront you purchased the game. Stating that one would sue TFP when they didn't sell the game to the OP is like suing an Automotive OEM because the dealership didn't give you the upgraded floor mats when you purchased a new vehicle.

Personally, I believe that any lawyer taking a case like this is just milking a client for some easy bucks without having to do any actual work.

Maybe. But do you remember that lady that got a refund + damages from Mc. Donalds because she spilled her hot coffee?
She claimed there was no label that said it was that hot, so she didn't handle it more carefully.

It's crazy to think how some lawsuits go.

Might want to read this. They Slandered that woman. It was not simply the case of her being litigious

I feel there's a lot of "lost in translation" stuff in that guy's message. I'm not sure that what I think he's saying is really what he's saying.
Anyone else got the same feeling?
