Ranger Armor Set

Right now the Ranger Armor Set gives bonus to revolvers and lever-action rifles which isn't very helpful for later game stages when you can craft tier 6 armor. I propose that the set bonus and glove bonus extend to pistols, rifles, and shotguns. This way it extends the set to end game while still being thematic and looking awesome.

I was also thinking that adding knife damage to the gloves and knife swing speed to the set would also fit the theme. I could also see a separate hunter/sniper set (ghillie suite) that had increased bonuses to bows and rifles, sneak bonuses, headshot damage multiplier

I didn't think we want too many bonuses on it.  But I do agree that lever action and revolver are useless late game, which greatly reduces the value of that set.  I wear it, but without gloves since the set bonus and the gloves are useless.

I'd be happy if it just changed lever action to any rifle for both gloves and set.

My main issue is the sets are very samey

While that can be good for cosmetic reasons

Effects why's its terrible.  Why? It doesn't give you reasons to uses it.

Ranger should be for rifle builds with a mix of shotguns or pistols

Alternatively, I would suggest that rather than adding more items for it to apply to, that it should instead provide a STRONGER buff to revolvers and lever action.

I started messing with it at end tier just to see if it might be worth it, just to realize that a full T6 set still only puts it on par with a non-buffed Desert Vulture and Sniper rifle, making it essentially pointless. HOWEVER, if they Doubled the values of damage, it would actually be able to hold its own.

After all, that would still only put it on par with the commando set plus Desert Vulture and Sniper Rifle, and it would still be at the disadvantage of smaller capacity.

Doubling damage values would be my vote to help its balance.

But then you gotta take into account the other gloves buffs

Farmer gives the weakest buff being just rifles.... and it's a low % Too level 2 only gives 4% while Commando gives 20%........ too all guns...

Then you got Preacher that buffs undead.. level 2 gives 20% and that's basically all enemies

I’m not saying that others don’t need some reworks as well, but this specific instance is a bit unique. The reason why is that it only affects revolvers and lever actions. Both of which are not the highest on their respective lists. To make the armor set actually a worthwhile option, they would need to give them enough power to be comparable to the sniper and desert vulture, when using something like the Commando armor. Otherwise there will be no reason in which to use it.

To bring it to that kind of level, the % would need to be approximately double give or take of what it is now. Hence why I made that suggestion.

As far as the preacher set goes, that doesn’t effect animals (which currently doesn’t really matter too much), and if they bring out the bandits like I’ve heard talk of, it won’t effect them either.

As far as sets like farmer, assassin, commando, etc. the question to ask really is what all weapons can it apply to? If the answer is something all the way up to high tier, then ultimately the amount of increase will be less.
