Pretty much what the title says.

Ability to set size, frequency, regulars or ferals - that kind of stuff.

It would greatly enhance the game for people who want to be more under pressure.

 
You can modify all that in the xmls.

Starting from gamestage.xml you can define what Zs in which amounts should be included in what waves depending on your gamestage.

Frequenzy in the meanwhile became an official setting. It's not fixed to "every Sunday" anymore.

 
Wandering hordes are defined in the same way in xml.

It has been discussed in antoher thread recently that they have really low spawn chance and additionally might just wander of and you won't even notice that there was one. I don't know if this can be changed in XML, but what Zs such a horde contains is also there.
