"Paint Thru" Painting Mode

It's really obnoxious if you're painting after having set up objects and decorations in your base to try and paint the surface behind them. For example, you build a wall for a base, then set up a workshop and storage and realize you wanted to paint the wall adjacent to your workbench a different color. You have to destroy the workbench to get at the wall behind it. Why not just have the paint brush bypass objects it can't paint, such as workshops, and paint the object behind it? At least for things that it costs an arm and a leg to replace.

Or, even better, a new "R" mode toggle that enables "paint thru"

Are you aware that you can just remove the workbench without destroying it? Not sure what the keyboard/mouse way is but on controller, you just hold the action button for a pop-up menu.

I was not, but I'll check it out! Unfortunately, there are oodles more blocks/objects that can't be removed.

Doesn't seem like I can remove a workbench on PC, bummer. However, the good news is I think there's only a few blocks where this is really a pain... Chemistry station, workbench and catwalks. Basically, anything you can place on or against a wall that has transparent areas and also takes up the entire block(s), preventing you from reaching the block behind/beneath.

place a claimland block and then the workstation, chemistry bench, etc. After that, you will be allowed to remove by holding R and then choose the option "take".
