PC Question about weapon and tool attachments

So I attached the Grave Digger attachment to the shovel and the stats do not change for the shovel. I also used the wood splitter on the axe and the same; the stats do not change.

I am pressing W for "Complete" and I can see the attachment is on the item, but the stats do not change.

Thoughts?

 
Do you refer to the additional damage any mod gives that you put in a mod slot? This should be shown, i.e. if you put any mod into an EMPTY slot, you see more damage, replace a color mod with a grave digger instead and you will see no change.

The special damage grave digger gives only applies to a subset of blocks. To show this, the UI would need to list multiple lines of block damage or some other way to denote non-general block damage. I don't know if TFP plans to do that.
