question about performance

Hello, good day, I wanted to find out some information about server performance. I've been running an open server for a year now. I have a lot of questions, but first what I want to know right now. I have a dedicated server at Bluefang and the server fps are always at 20 is that correct? Because I'm starting to get really worried that they're not giving me the performance I'm paying for, I just want to clear my head

In other words, 20 fps is correct for a dedicated server. Everything in the game operates at 20 ticks per seconds

Server FPS is hard capped at 20. Pushing it higher artificially will not improve performance, and will instead cause problems.

Maybe post what issues you are running into, and follow the Pinned thread on how to report an issue.

 
Great, thank you very much for the information. I've been having a problem with my neighbor in the game for a few days now. He has built a base with a lot of grids and this confessional window that shapes when he starts drilling something or blocks away in his base To set it, there are slight hangs, the fps also visibly went down quite a bit as soon as you get closer to the base. I have to tell him that he should take down the guns because the weapons no longer make sounds went and it was no longer possible to play cleanly in the area. We have all already dismantled the solar and switched to generators. I don't know what could be wrong. I'm looking everywhere for answers. The server I rent should have enough performance and the game should have decent performance to operate is it because of the server or is it because of the game the server itself shows no errors or weaknesses the lagg are only at the base other players who are on the server don't notice anything about it

This sounds like a local client issue more than a server issue, but regardless we will need logs to be able to tell much.

Post a log from both the server when you run into this issue, and from your game client. Note the time when you experience it so that we can sync that up with the timestamps in your log.

There is no private information in your log unless you've done something really dumb like using your social security number for your user ID in Windows.
