I don't have any logs or a screenshot, but it should be simple to reproduce.
For a treasure hunting quest the quest marker was set directly on a tree. That means it was set ON TOP of the tree (35 m high). I tried to cut the tree down, but the quest marker remains in the air.
Maybe it should be checked if there is something placed before setting the quest marker.
