PC Purchasing confusion

Hi. I'm confused about whether I'm able to purchase now and receive 1.0 or if I have to wait until July 25 and the price increase. Steam isn't clear about what version I'm buying, nor is this site. 

So, can anyone explain like to a 5 year old? Can I buy now? If so, do I get experimental 1.0 now or am I still on alpha? Does it auto-update to 1.0? Anything else I'm forgetting?

Buy now if you don't want the price increase. Unless the price increase already happened, I don't know.

Whether you buy now or later, you will buy all available 7 days versions, even future (free) updates, not a specific one.

For example now you can only download 1.0 experimental or A21 or A20, there is a setting in steam that allows you to select the version. You can't get 1.0 stable because 1.0 stable is not released yet, but when it is you can select it or will get it automatically.

Thanks for the quick and complete reply! So, is it better to buy here or on Steam? Or am I buying the same thing either way?

 
Hi FlappyJ,

If you are buying the PC version, buying through Steam works just fine.

If you are buying for console, you will want to wait until the new version is available for console.
