PC PSA Items stuck in tool belt.

Just an FYI, if you've had the issue with items stuck in your tool belt like I have and thought you needed to exit/restart to correct... You don't, you just need to equip the item, drop the item using the G key, and then pick it back up.

That has corrected/fixed the issue every time for me.

Hope this helps, I haven't seen this posted anywhere else yet (sorry if it has already been addressed).

Haven't tried the dropping, will see if it works(someone suggested shift clicking back to backpack, but that doesn't work).

 
Scrap didn't work for me, neither did repair... both options were greyed out. Dropping worked every time though.

Same, I've had this issue multiple times so far, dropping it with the G key from toolbelt then picking it up seems to fix it. Had it happen with some pain killers, then bandages, and then with a smg.

 
Hmmm, i've had it happen 3x in 3 different games with a bow in slot 3, and once with bandages in slot 5. I could scrap them with the S key each time, but not unequip or drag them off their slot or replace them. I didn't try dropping with G.

I've had it both ways. Most times I was able to scrap & cancel but this one time in band camp... they scrap option was not available. I had to restart the game to fix it.

not anymore, now you can just drop, pick up, and move on with the zambie killin! :D

 
Drop doesn't do it for me. Scrap/Cancel does, though.

Edit: Just realised that Q isn't the drop key anymore. Will try it next time it happens, then.

Has same issue with different kind of items. Also happened with tools, building supplies, weapons... type doesn't matter.

Had to restard game, will try to scrap and cancel.

For me this happens with food and drink. Not often "straight to toolbelt" but "the first item is crafted and then moved to toolbelt as more are crafted" might be the trigger.
