I'm going to work on a video about the progression of 7 days to die and I want some feed back about ideas and things/ideas I'll mention. And maybe a place to share feedback

I'll put it in polls about each chapter cuz it's probably going to be a long video

If you have any questions or most importantly feedback and ideas. Please let me know

The overall idea is this

Each tier has 6 tiers of items

Spears for example go

Stone, Scrap, iron, renforced iron, steel, harden steel, mechanical.

And some of these base Spears have varrants to craft depending on your needs.

So early game.  Stone is your jack of all trades heavy hitter, then you got wood. It's cheap and hits much faster but it's weaker. Then you got bone. Bone hits harder then wood but not Stone. It hits faster then Stone but slower then wood.

Guns are different.

Pipe is the same but your tier 1 is a better version.  Then you got stuff in the same class that fires different calibers and have different uses.

The idea is basicly to get book progression from 100 to like 300.

Is it alot? Yes but it makes progression slower

Since the choices don't include these...

1) More tiers are okay, but not needed. However, I wouldn't mind more weapons.  I'm enjoying Izayo's mod.

2) I don't think we really need more armor, though it would be fine.  However, I do think the bonuses from armor could use some work.  Some are too weak, some are too strong, and some are repeated too often.

I don't know that more tiers helps tool/weapon progression.

As for armor, I would be okay if progression was a little slower, but I'm not dissatisfied with the current progression or the trade offs between crafting, finding, and buying. I'd like crafting to be meaningful, but I'm not opposed to buying it at a trader. To me, the awkward part is I can't imagine most of those armor sets being available before the apocalypse except for armor and SWAT variants or things like football helmets and pads.

While I do appreciate the real wide world has lots of weapons and ammo types, the counter balance is inventory management. If there are to be more types of ammo it would be nice if the inventory system knew that bullets were small and that crafting let you harvest the gunpowder and brass from ammo a player doesn't intend to use. Otherwise, I'm okay with current choices.

I would be just fine with more armor. We still need the Hoarder, Marauder and Desert sets, anyway.

I'd be okay with a couple of more types. Or at least differentiate the ammo types we have some. HiPower for soft targets, AP for armored zombies. Would be more fun, at least for some, instead of just making them deal minute amounts of more damage. "Oh this ammo deals 3 more damage" just isn't that fun.

My idea for the video script Is kinda like fallout new Vegas. I wanted to do stalker/tarkov but that's not really friendly too those who Don't know guns very well and that shouldn't be required.

Basically ammo goes

9mm 10mm 45

357 44

5.56 7.62, 30-06, 45-70

20 guage, 12 guage and 8 guage.

Some are better dps while others are better at just damage and some bullets have special rounds for it..

Like 30-06 has a frag round that does splash damage and great for breaking limbs. But 30-06 weapons early game is have low ammo capacity 1 to 3 shots

I don't know that more tiers helps tool/weapon progression.

My idea is more or less make it longer and more diverse for whatever you need.

Armor Immediately doesn't really need that much.Maybe a few new sets of armor but that's really about it.I was gonna go and depth about certain Builds and Armor for specific builds like one. That's dedicated to just using machine guns While you could have some armor sets that are good for many things or a set that's VERY good for 1 thing

Plus makes armor More of a choice. Of this or that

With some exceptions like if you're doing a stealth build. You want to assassin armor still but maybe if you want something that's a lighter and has more benefits you go for rouge.

I also think light armor needs more in order too be worth it. A few armors in the light category are preacher and lumberjack gloves. But for me I go for Medium armor

I also think heavy armor is far too cheap early game. It needs a slighty higher cost. Like some forged iron

I haven't seen the mod I'll have too look it up.

Like I stated I'm taking inspiration from other games like fallout mostly new Vegas due too them. Imo doing weapon varrant the best in the whole rpg system. Makes people who want more happy.  Makes gun nuts happy and they even threw in weird fallout stuff. The only thing missing was Makeshift weapons

And I agree with armor seta being weaker and stronger. I think @Old Crowdoes a great job with balance ideas. Personality i wouldn't mind seeing even more armors sets but i already talked about thay

I'm going to post my script soon on the pimp dreams. It's long as hell but it will be more or less the script..granted I'll probably ramble but I never said I was a professional lol. I make my stuff the way I would consume my media.  Listening while doing something else. With pictures here and there

None of your options fit my opinions, so I'll write my own answers.

1) I'd want progression changed slightly, but keep 3 tiers.

2) Armour progression absolutely sucks currently. Delete tiers 1 to 5, and only have full-bonus armour (equivalent to only having t6).

3) Less types. 3 is too many.
