PC Problems with doors: PC Version, 2 Players: Newbie

Have Problem: i play with my husband- i create a door, i locked door - he cant open it. WE ARE IN GRP !

He is my b-net friend and i invited him and he answered invite - so i see him in grp - but when he or me create door and lock it, only the Locker can enter. Is it a bug or do we something wrong ?

I thought, if we are in grp and i lock a created door, my trammate can open it.

Bug, feature or only me too stupid ?

 
A locked door without a code can only be opened by the person who locked it. When you click and hold on the door, there is a number pad option, which lets you put in a codekey. If you assign it one, then you can give that key to anyone and they will be able to open it. Once they put the code in once, it will always work for them from that point forward (unless you change the code).

 
Yeah what Lord said. Also, if it's just you two, just leave them unlocked. It doesn't affect anything, but if you're on a server do lock and set passcodes.

Its actually the one who PLACED the door, not the one who locked them.

You can lock neutral doors in POIs and you won't be able to open them as well.

 
word of caution... if people are in a party group, the rules do not apply to them like it does with your allies.

party just lets you share on xp and quests, party does not allow the same benefits as an allie and you can kill a party member.

as far as I know the only way someone else can open a locked door you created is by using the password you set. Is that's what happening? He's using a password and it's not working?

Otherwise I can't remember ever being able to open someone's locked door I was allied with normally.

 
How do you share quests with aliies? Been trying to do this since A17 first dropped.

AFAIK you have to party up with them and then share... it was added that way in case some allies didnt want to quest or do other party adventures.

but lets not hijack the topic which is locked door issues. :)
